Red 5 Interactive is looking for a creative, motivated, and highly productive Social Media & Digital Content Intern to join our team.

Red 5 is a full-service digital marketing company based in Des Moines. We work with clients across the country, with a particular focus on labor unions, construction companies, financial services organizations, businesses, and advocacy organizations. Our team develops websites, manages social media, creates targeted digital advertising campaigns, produces video and photography, develops mobile apps, provides SEO and search marketing, and creates the digital tools our clients need to communicate and grow.

We are looking for someone who loves social media, understands what makes content engaging, and can move quickly from an idea to a finished post, graphic, short-form video, Reel, or other piece of digital content.

What You'll Do

You will work with the Red 5 team to help create, enhance, schedule, and manage social media content for multiple clients.

On a typical day, you may

• Create and prepare 10–20 social media posts or content pieces per day across multiple client accounts
• Design social graphics, carousels, Stories, and other visual content using Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud
• Create and edit short-form video using CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, and other video tools
• Turn existing photography and video into compelling Reels, Shorts, and social content
• Use ChatGPT and other AI tools to assist with research, brainstorming, copy development, content variations, and production
• Write and refine social media copy for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, and other platforms
• Schedule and manage content using Agorapulse
• Adapt a core idea for different social platforms instead of simply posting identical content everywhere
