Creates and supports community engagement, and executes social media initiatives that strengthen Bucknell's digital presence. Through authentic storytelling, compelling visuals, and platform-specific content, the Social Media Content Creator helps connect with prospective students, alumni, parents, and other key audiences while advancing the University's strategic communication goals.Job Duties:

• Will include occasional evenings and weekends
• Casual employee (non-benefit eligible), typically working 10-20 hours per week, on an as needed basis
• May work up to 1,000 hours annually

What You Will Do

* Creates engaging photo, video, graphics and written content for Bucknell University's official social media channels – including Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook and more. * Manages the publishing and execution of content across priority platforms in collaboration team members. * Captures, edits and produces short-form multimedia content optimized for each platform using various software tools. * Develops creative content concepts and collaborates with the editorial and content strategy team to identify compelling student, faculty and staff stories. * Writes platform-specific captions and prepares content for review, scheduling and publishing. * Monitors comments, directs messages and engagement opportunities, responding appropriately or escalating issues as needed. *
