Retention & Lifecycle Copywriter — Contract

Fuel Made is expanding its network of freelance copywriters, and we're looking for a few sharp email and SMS writers to join it. This is contract work: you'd write retention copy for our portfolio of premium Shopify brands on Klaviyo, project by project, as our workload calls for it.

A few notes up front, because they'll help you decide whether this is a fit:

• The work ebbs and flows. We won't be your full-time gig, and we can't promise a steady stream. Some stretches we'll have several briefs for you; some stretches, none.
• We pay per deliverable. Rates are set by deliverable — per email, per SMS, per flow, and so on — and we settle them with you up front, so you always know what a brief pays before you take it. No hourly tracking, no retainer.

### About the work

You'll write email and SMS copy across a range of DTC brands, each with its own voice, audience, and goals. Working from creative briefs and retention strategy our team provides, you'll produce copy that converts — subject lines, preview text, body copy, CTAs, full flow sequences, popups, and landing pages. Our strategists bring the what and the why; you own how it's said.

Range is important. One brief might be a playful brand with a cult following; the next, a premium menswear label where every word has to earn its place. You'll switch voices cleanly, write to the brief, and hold quality across every touchpoint.

• Email and SMS campaigns: subject lines, preview text, body, CTAs
• Full flow sequences: Welcome, Post-Purchase, Abandoned Cart, Browse Abandonment, Win-Back, and more
• Popup and landing page
