Remote Social Media Manager and Content Creator

We’re looking for an experienced Freelance Social Media Manager to support an established hair and beauty business based in Inglewood.

This is a good fit for someone who can take ownership of the social media function, bring ideas to the table, and keep content moving without needing constant direction. We’re not looking for someone who simply waits for content to be handed to them and posts it.

This is a remote 1099 independent contractor opportunity, not an employee position.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and manage monthly content plans that support consistent daily posting across the brand’s social platforms
• Batch-create and prepare content in advance to maintain a consistent daily content cadence
• Help identify content themes, campaigns, and opportunities that make sense for the brand
• Contribute ideas and recommendations that strengthen the overall social media direction
• Write engaging captions, calls to action, and other social copy that align with the brand’s voice
• Schedule and publish approved content across relevant social platforms
• Repurpose existing photo and video assets into additional social content
• Plan and communicate what photo and video content should be captured to support upcoming content plans, campaigns, and social media needs
• Create shot lists, content briefs, or other guidance that helps the person responsible for content capture understand what is needed
• Organize social media content and digital assets for easy access and reuse
• Monitor content performance and use insights to improve future content
• Stay aware of relevant social media trends and identify the ones that make sense for the brand
• Communicate proactively about content needs, approvals, priorities, and opportunities

What We’re Looking For

You should have demonstrated experience managing social media for a business or brand and be comfortable taking meaningful ownership of your work.
