Position Overview

We are seeking a Marketing, Media & Outreach Intern to help us tell the sanctuary's story and grow the relationships behind it. This is a combined role: roughly half of your time is spent creating digital content on-site with our animals and experiences, and the other half is spent on outreach - contacting media, building partnerships, and managing communication systems.

It is a broad role by design. You will not specialize in one channel; you will see how content, audience growth, and partnerships work together to move a small nonprofit forward. It suits someone who is comfortable switching between filming in the field and writing a pitch email at a desk.

Note: Because this position covers two areas, we prioritize candidates who can commit to more hours per week. Applicants interested in only one side of the role are welcome to say so in their application - we can weight responsibilities toward content or toward outreach based on your strengths and the sanctuary's needs.
