Social Media Manager

Job Summary

This is an exceptional opportunity to work on a live political campaign for the CT House of Representatives. Candidate was elected in 2024 and is running for re-election. Candidate is a moderate, common sense, pro-choice Republican.

Hours and Place of work

· 10 hours per week – hours flexible

· [Unpaid internship, but class credit is available]

· Remote

· Location of campaign: Greenwich, CT.

· Dates: Start immediately and runs through Election Day: November 3, 2026. Post-election oppoprtunity is available.

Applicant criteria

· Excellent attention to detail

Responsibilities

Manage daily social media postings on Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, Linkedin and YouTube

Design graphics on Canva

Edite and create videos, set to music

Employ strategies to boost followers and engagement

Participate in weekly meetings with a national political strategist - great learning opportunity

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media or related field.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and their respective best practices for content marketing.
• Proficiency in media editing tools such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, and video editing software is highly desirable.

Pay: From $1.00 per hour
