Marketing Assistant

We are looking for a Marketing Assistant to help our team create, plan, and run varied marketing campaigns for our clients. You do not need years of experience, but you must be organized, a clear writer, and a continual learner. You should have a strong understanding of business and the purpose for marketing. Attention-to-detail is a must, as is the ability to work quickly and meet tight deadlines. You will be part of a team, but should also be able to work well alone. Some travel may be necessary. Sales experience is a plus.

Core Responsibilities

• Create social media posts: Write copy and choose/create images and videos for our clients’ social media pages.
• Organize project timelines: Track deadlines for marketing projects and remind team members of upcoming tasks. Funnel task information to other team members.
• Collect and track performance data.
• Coordinate meetings: Schedule team meetings; track next steps. Create bullet-point summaries of the meeting for the team.
• Track budgets: Watch campaign spending to make sure clients’ campaigns stay within budgets. Analyze campaigns and make suggestions as to how to optimize campaign performance.
• Track Expenses: Keep up with monthly expenses for each client.
• Manage Office. Make deposits, make purchases, etc.

Skills and Qualifications

• Have Strong writing skills: Ability to write clear, grammatically-correct emails, social media posts, and Ad copy that align with client goals, and team goals.
• Have Strong Computer skills: Experience using programs like Canva, Microsoft Word and Excel, Google Docs and Sheets, AI interfaces.
• Stay Organized: Ability to track multiple tasks for different clients, and meet deadlines. Manage emails and todo lists.
• Like Brainstorming: Ability to help develop unique marketing strategies for clients in different industries.
• Follow-through: Continually monitor tasks, and work to ensure they are completed on-time and within budget.
• Communicate: Excellent communication skills in-person, on the phone, and online.
• Work in a Team: Willingness to collaborate with others and take direction on new projects. Ability to form strong working relationships with team members and clients.
• Stay Up-To-Date: You should know the latest trends and best practices in online marketing, traditional marketing, networking, and SEO. Familiarity with SEO and its importance in driving organic traffic. You should follow AI developments, and be able to use AI to augment and expand the human touch, rather than use AI as a substitute for thinking.
• Be Involved in the Community: Community involvement and concern for charity is vital in our business.

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 30.0 per week
