Social Media Operations Specialist

POSITION PURPOSE

The goal of this position is to strengthen Local First Arizona’s brand and public image by increasing awareness of Local as the best method of economic development for a resilient Arizona. This role focuses on using digital marketing as a way to reach potential entrepreneurs, the local business community, community stakeholders and the broader Arizona community to advance to mission of creating a more resilient and inclusive Arizona economy.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Social Media Operations Specialist is responsible for the day-to-day execution and management of Local First Arizona's social media channels. This role ensures content is published consistently, optimized for each platform, and supported through active community management and audience engagement. Working closely with the Digital Content Strategist and *Digital Marketing Specialist*, this position helps maximize the reach and effectiveness of content by managing publishing workflows, monitoring conversations, engaging with the community, and tracking performance across platforms.

Social Media Operations & Strategy (50%)

• Manage the publishing calendar across all social media platforms.
• Schedule and publish content according to platform best practices.
• Ensure all content is optimized for discoverability, engagement, accessibility, and search.
• Maintain consistency in posting cadence across channels.
• Stay informed on platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging social media features.
• Recommend platform-specific content strategies and best practices.
• Develop recommendations based on performance data.
• Coordinate publishing priorities around campaigns, events, programs, and organizational initiatives.
• Support the integration of social media with CRM, email marketing, and other digital marketing efforts.

Community Management & Growth (30%)

• Monitor and respond to comments, direct messages, and mentions in a timely manner.
• Foster
