*Part-Time | Remote (with regular travel to Portland & Seattle cafes)*

Position Summary

We're looking for a creative, self-directed Social Media Manager to own our Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X presence; including reviving our currently inactive X account. This is a hands-on, content-creation-first role: you'll shoot photos and video, write captions, edit, and build a content calendar that speaks to three distinct audiences: wholesale accounts, cafe visitors, and online shoppers. You'll work closely with our Director of Marketing and report on performance as our social presence grows.

Key Details

• Employment type: Part-time, freelance or hourly (15–20 hours/week)
• Location: Remote, with regular travel to visit cafe locations in Portland, OR and Seattle, WA
• Compensation: $30–$40/hour, depending on experience
• Reports to: Director of Marketing

What You'll Do

*Content Creation*

• Create original content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and X, photography, video, captions, and editing
• Plan and run photo/video shoots, including shot lists and coordinating outside photographers when needed
• Source and repurpose user-generated content (UGC)
• Keep paid-social use cases in mind when capturing content, even though this role is organic-only (Marketing handles paid)

*Strategy & Planning*

• Develop and maintain the content calendar, with oversight from the Director of Marketing
• Balance content across our target mix: 40% wholesale, 20% DTC, 20% retail, 20% product
• Tailor content to three audiences: wholesale prospects, in-cafe visitors, and online shoppers

*Community Management*

• Monitor and respond to comments and DMs across all platforms, 7 days a week
• Repost relevant stories and posts from customers and partners
• Thank customers publicly for visiting or sharing
• Maintain a target response time of within 1 business day
