Social Media Associate

Bhanzu Learning Center () (IG: @bhanzulearningcenter) is founded by Neelakantha Bhanu, the World's Fastest Human Calculator. We're on a mission to end math phobia and build confident problem-solvers everywhere. We're looking for someone based in DFW to run our social media pages and keep the Bhanzu energy alive online, from our learnig centers in Frisco (near McKinney), Irving and Plano learning centers and events across the area.

What You'll Do

• Come up with content ideas, captions, and scripts, figure out how something should be shot, and then shoot it
• Work with the creative team to get the final asset polished and live
• Manage our social media pages end-to-end: posting, engagement, keeping everything active and on-brand
• Collaborate with the larger marketing team on content ideas and what's trending
• Plan and maintain a social media content calendar, and stay on top of the to-do list
• Cover simple shoots at the center and nearby events (Plano, McKinney, Austin) like classes, meet & greets, and math magic shows

What We're Looking For

• Based in DFW, able to work on-site regularly at the Irving center
• Must have a car since you'll need to travel between the center and event locations across DFW
• Hands-on and full of ideas, someone who can spot what'll actually land on social media, not just execute a brief
• End-to-end ownership matters more than any single skill. You don't need to master every part of the process, but you should be someone who takes an idea, drives it from concept to captions to shoot to a live post, and gets it done
• Genuinely enthusiastic about content and social media, an enthusiastic person who brings energy to the page, not just posts
• Comfortable working semi-independently while coordinating with a remote team
• Student or recent grad in Marketing, Communications, or Media preferred, not required

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15.0 – 25.0 per week
