Ani & Cat is a San José-based creative marketing and communications firm serving government agencies, business districts, nonprofits, and businesses throughout the Bay Area. We are seeking a Social Media & Marketing Manager with strong creative judgment, strategic thinking, and demonstrated professional experience producing high-quality marketing content.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can develop ideas, execute polished content, and understand how strong creative supports broader marketing objectives.

Portfolio Requirement

Your portfolio is a critical part of our selection process.

We are looking for candidates with demonstrated creative ability, strong visual judgment, and experience producing work for professional brands or organizations. Case studies or examples of marketing campaigns and strategy is a plus.

Portfolios should demonstrate original creative thinking and professional execution. Work that consists primarily of templates, basic social media graphics, or school/personal projects without a strong professional application are not sufficient for this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute social media strategies, marketing campaigns, and content calendars.
• Create professional-quality graphics, photography, and video content.
• Write clear, engaging, platform-appropriate copy, including newsletters, captions, and other content.
• Manage social media channels from concept through publishing and performance reporting.
• Develop creative concepts and marketing campaigns for clients.
• Collaborate with clients and internal team members to translate objectives into effective creative solutions.
• Capture content at businesses, events, and locations throughout the Bay Area.
