THE OPPORTUNITY

Building the next chapter of WOOLGOLD's digital presence.

WOOLGOLD is embarking on a comprehensive digital transformation to elevate its international presence, strengthen its digital infrastructure and establish a new benchmark for excellence across its online platforms.

With a portfolio spanning scarves, shawls, wraps and premium home textiles, including throws and blankets, WOOLGOLD operates across multiple international markets through its principal website and more than six country-specific microsites and localized platforms, including France and Germany.

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Web Development & Technical SEO Specialist to lead the strategic redevelopment of our digital ecosystem.

This is not a conventional website redesign assignment. It is an opportunity to rethink, architect and build a sophisticated, scalable digital platform that reflects the quality of our products, the ambition of our business and our commitment to international growth.

The successful candidate will combine technical mastery, strategic SEO expertise, refined digital execution and a rigorous understanding of international website architecture.

Our ambition is clear: to position WOOLGOLD among the most authoritative and respected digital destinations in the global scarf, shawl, wrap and home textile sectors.

THE MISSIONExcellence in every digital detail.

The appointed professional will take responsibility for the complete redevelopment of www.woolgold.com and the strategic optimization of our international digital ecosystem.

The mission encompasses five fundamental priorities

01 — Digital Architecture & Website Excellence

Design and develop a modern, premium, high-performance digital platform that delivers an exceptional user experience and establishes a robust foundation for future international expansion.

02 — SEO Preservation & Organic Growth

Protect and strengthen the search visibility, domain authority, indexed content and organic traffic accumulated by our existing websites. SEO integrity must be embedded into every stage of the redevelopment process.

03 — International Digital Ecosystem

Rationalize, optimize and integrate our existing international microsites and localized pages into a coherent, scalable architecture that serves the distinct requirements of each target market.

04 — Brand Authority & Digital Positioning

Create a digital environment that communicates expertise, quality, product diversity and professional credibility, positioning WOOLGOLD as a reference in the international textile industry.

05 — Sustainable Performance

Build a technically robust, secure, measurable and adaptable platform designed to support long-term organic visibility, customer engagement and qualified commercial opportunities.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Digital Strategy, Architecture & Development

Lead the end-to-end redevelopment of the WOOLGOLD digital ecosystem, from technical discovery and architectural planning to implementation, launch and continuous improvement.

  • Conduct a comprehensive assessment of the existing website, CMS, technical infrastructure and digital user journeys.
  • Define the optimal website architecture, technology stack and content management framework.
  • Develop a sophisticated, responsive and mobile-first interface aligned with the expectations of a premium international brand.
  • Establish intuitive navigation, product taxonomies and category structures across scarves, shawls, wraps, throws, blankets and related textile collections.
  • Improve product discovery, category-level engagement, inquiry journeys and B2B conversion opportunities.
  • Ensure consistency, maintainability, security and scalability across all digital properties.
  • Establish clear development standards, quality assurance procedures and technical documentation.

2. Technical SEO & Search Equity Protection

Our existing organic visibility is a strategic business asset. Its protection is a non-negotiable requirement of this project.

The successful candidate must demonstrate the ability to execute complex website migrations while minimizing avoidable disruption to existing search performance.

Responsibilities include

  • Complete pre-migration technical SEO audits and baseline performance assessments.
  • Comprehensive crawling and inventory of existing URLs, metadata, indexation status, backlinks and organic landing pages.
  • Preservation of existing URLs wherever practical and justified by the new architecture.
  • Detailed one-to-one URL mapping and implementation of appropriate permanent redirects where URLs change.
  • Preservation and validation of canonical tags, metadata, internal linking, structured data and other relevant SEO signals.
  • Optimization of crawlability, indexability, XML sitemaps, robots.txt directives and breadcrumb architecture.
  • Identification and resolution of duplicate content, redirect chains, broken links, orphan pages and keyword cannibalization.
  • Integration of Google Search Console, analytics and appropriate technical monitoring systems.
  • Post-launch monitoring of rankings, organic sessions, indexing, crawl errors and landing-page performance.
  • Prompt diagnosis, prioritization and remediation of any migration-related SEO issues.

The objective is to achieve a controlled transition that safeguards existing search equity while establishing the technical conditions for sustainable future growth.

3. International SEO & Microsite Governance

WOOLGOLD's international presence requires a coherent and technically precise approach to multilingual and multinational digital architecture.

The successful candidate will evaluate and optimize our existing portfolio of six or more international microsites and localized pages.

Key responsibilities

  • Assess the current structure of country-specific websites, language versions and market-specific landing pages.
  • Recommend an appropriate domain, subdomain, subdirectory or microsite strategy based on business objectives and SEO implications.
  • Implement and validate hreflang annotations, self-referencing and cross-language canonicals, and international XML sitemaps where appropriate.
  • Establish consistent standards for localized URLs, metadata, navigation and internal linking.
  • Preserve market-specific organic visibility and avoid unnecessary consolidation of established digital properties.
  • Identify and resolve international duplication, conflicting language signals and cross-market keyword cannibalization.
  • Develop a scalable governance framework for future markets, languages and collections.

4. Premium Digital Experience & Performance Engineering

We expect a digital experience defined by clarity, precision, performance and attention to detail.

The successful candidate will

  • Improve Core Web Vitals and real-world page performance.
  • Optimize loading speed, responsive behavior, image delivery, caching and front-end assets.
  • Deliver consistent experiences across desktop, tablet and mobile devices.
  • Improve accessibility, usability, navigation and technical reliability.
  • Implement relevant structured data and enhanced search presentation opportunities.
  • Optimize category pages, product detail pages, editorial content and commercial inquiry journeys.
  • Establish a measurable framework for improving engagement and qualified lead generation.

Every design and development decision should serve a clear purpose: strengthening the brand experience, improving usability or creating measurable business value.

5. Search Authority & Textile Category Leadership

Beyond technical redevelopment, the project must establish the structural foundations for stronger organic authority across WOOLGOLD's principal product categories.

These include

  • Premium scarves and fashion accessories.
  • Wool, cashmere, silk and modal scarves.
  • Shawls, wraps and seasonal collections.
  • Custom-printed and personalized textile products.
  • Decorative throws and premium blankets.
  • Home textiles and related product categories.

The successful candidate will collaborate on SEO-led information architecture, content hubs, internal linking, category landing pages and structured data implementation.

The goal is to make WOOLGOLD increasingly discoverable for relevant, high-intent searches across international markets while maintaining a clear distinction between technical development responsibilities and ongoing content strategy.

CANDIDATE PROFILEExperience, judgement and technical authority.

We are looking for a senior professional with a minimum of eight years of relevant experience and a proven track record in complex website development, technical SEO and international digital projects.

Essential expertise

  • Advanced website development and architecture.
  • Complex website redevelopment and migration management.
  • Technical SEO audits and implementation.
  • International SEO and multilingual website governance.
  • URL migration, permanent redirects and indexation management.
  • Canonicalization, hreflang and structured data.
  • Core Web Vitals, front-end performance and responsive development.
  • CMS architecture, integrations, security and maintainability.
  • Google Search Console, Google Analytics 4 and professional crawling and auditing tools.
  • Structured project management, testing, documentation and post-launch optimization.

Preferred experience

  • International B2B, manufacturing, fashion, accessories, luxury, textiles or home furnishings.
  • Multi-domain or multi-market digital ecosystems.
  • Large product catalogues and technically complex content structures.

  • Collaboration with brand, marketing, content and commercial teams.

We value professionals who combine strategic judgement with hands-on technical expertise, communicate risks transparently and take ownership of the quality of their work.

Candidates must distinguish their own contribution from the work of other team members or agencies and be prepared to discuss the technical decisions behind their results.

We seek a strategic digital partner capable of combining technical excellence, search expertise, international scalability and a sophisticated understanding of brand positioning.

The right candidate will approach this project with precision, accountability and a long-term perspective — protecting the value already built while creating the foundations for the next stage of WOOLGOLD's international development.
