Who We Are

At Private Practice Elevation, we imagine a world where every private practice owner can reach the clients they love, expand their impact, and build the business and life of their dreams. We do that through website design and development, SEO services, and by being a team that clients can trust to help them elevate their online presence.

Our ideal clients are mental health therapists building a group private practice, or solo therapists who need a killer website to stand out. They usually struggle with the technical side of marketing, so we serve as their guide.

Who We're Looking For

We're hiring a Mid-Level SEO Specialist to own client SEO accounts under the direction of our Lead SEO Strategist, Michael.

This isn't a support role. You'll run campaigns start to finish (strategy execution, client communication, monthly reporting) for a full roster of accounts. Michael sets the overall direction and stays involved on strategy calls, but you're the one clients hear from, and you're accountable for the results on the accounts you own.

We've seen strong growth in SEO demand and need someone who can take real ownership so Michael can focus on strategy, quality oversight, and building this department for scale — instead of running point on every account himself.

This is a great fit if you've done SEO work you're proud of, you're comfortable being the face of an account to a client, and you want a growth path — strong performers move into our CAS (Client Acceleration System) track and take on our highest-tier Gold accounts.

Key Responsibilities

The purpose of this role is to independently manage a book of SEO accounts (primarily our Silver tier) so clients get consistent, high-quality results and clear communication — without Michael needing to be involved in day-to-day execution.

This includes the following outcomes

  • Full ownership of assigned SEO accounts — strategy execution, task completion, and quality
  • Clients understand the impact of their campaigns each month through clear reporting and proactive communication
  • Campaigns are reviewed monthly, with recommendations made directly to clients
  • Deliverables are kept up to date in Asana, on schedule, without needing to be chased
  • Content produced for clients (articles, reports) sounds like them, not like a generic template
  • Michael is freed from hands-on account management to focus on strategy and department growth

Typical Tasks

  • Daily management of your own accounts in Asana — deadlines, deliverables, client status
  • Executing SEO strategy: keyword research, content optimization, technical fixes, backlink coordination
  • Using our documented AI workflows to produce monthly reports and client articles, then reviewing and refining the output for accuracy and voice
  • Reviewing brand guides and client voice guidelines and writing/editing content so it genuinely sounds like each client, not like AI output
  • Writing and reviewing monthly campaign reports and communicating results directly to clients
  • Leading monthly client check-ins or strategy touchpoints for your accounts
  • Updating client websites (WordPress, Wix, Squarespace) with SEO titles, meta descriptions, and content
  • Flagging accounts that are underperforming or at risk, and bringing solutions — not just problems — to Michael
  • Identifying growth opportunities within your accounts (e.g., readiness to move up a tier) and looping in Michael
  • Onboarding and offboarding clients on your accounts
  • Contributing to and improving SEO SOPs as you find better ways to do things
  • Quality-checking your own completed work before it goes to the client
  • Available on Slack during agreed-upon work hours

Working With AI

We're an AI-forward team. A lot of our monthly deliverables — reports, articles, content drafts — start with documented AI workflows, and your job is to run those workflows well and then bring the human judgment that makes the output actually good: accurate, on-strategy, and sounding like the client, not like a machine. We also use Viktor, our AI assistant built into Slack, for day-to-day work. You don't need to be an AI expert coming in, but you should be comfortable with these tools and eager to get sharper with them.

Minimum Experience

  • 3–5 years of experience in an SEO role — agency, in-house, or freelance
  • Demonstrated experience communicating directly with clients (not just executing tasks handed to you)
  • Track record of owning outcomes, not just completing assignments

Technical Skills

  • Strong understanding of on-page and technical SEO
  • Experience with Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar
  • Experience with WordPress, Wix, and Squarespace
  • Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS for SEO-related edits

Analytical & Research Skills

  • Ability to read campaign data and translate it into a clear story for a client
  • Keyword research and competitive analysis
  • Comfortable identifying when a campaign is off track and diagnosing why

Content and Communication Skills

  • Confident, professional written and verbal communication — you'll be the primary voice on your accounts
  • Strong writing skills, with the ability to match a client's brand voice from a style guide or reference content
  • Comfortable delivering both good news and hard news to clients
  • Clear, organized communication with the internal team (Slack, Asana)

Software We Use

  • Asana
  • Google Search Console / Analytics
  • WordPress (Divi/Elementor), Wix, Squarespace
  • Slack
  • Google Drive / Docs
  • Ubersuggest
  • Screaming Frog

Schedule

  • Part-time to start (20–30 hrs/week), with room to grow to full-time as account load increases
  • Weekly check-in with Michael
  • U.S. working hours availability (9am–4pm EST preferred) for client communication
