Marketing Assistant - Social Media and Creator Outreach

YOUCANIC is an automotive repair company based in Towson, Maryland. We publish repair guides and videos that reach millions of DIY car owners every year.

We have the content, the credibility, and the products. We need someone whose full attention is on growing the audience and the relationships around it.

We do not have a marketing department. There is no senior marketer here who is going to train you, hand you a playbook, or check your work. That is the honest reality of this role.

What that means is that this job only works for a person who likes to figure things out. Someone who watches a tutorial, tries the thing, and comes back with a result. Someone who reads about a tactic on Friday and has tested it by Wednesday. If you need structure, feedback loops, and a manager who has already done your job, you will be miserable here and we will both waste our time. What you will do

• Build and manage relationships with automotive content creators on YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook. Find them, reach out, keep the conversation warm, and turn them into collaborators.
• Source content we can repost. Track down creator clips, customer videos, and repair footage that fits our brand, get permission, and get it scheduled.
• Create original short form content. Cut clips from our existing video library, write hooks and captions, and post consistently across channels.
• Bring us ideas. Every week we want to hear at least one new angle for growing reach: a collaboration, a giveaway, a trend to jump on, a community to get into, a format we are not using yet.
• Run outreach campaigns end to end, from building the list to sending the messages to tracking who replied.
• Report on what worked. Simple numbers, honestly reported, so we can spend more on what moves and kill what does not.
