Development & Marketing Coordinator

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated, detail-oriented Development & Marketing Coordinator to support NFCR’s fundraising and marketing efforts. This is a junior-level, full-time position that blends hands-on donor communications and annual-fund support with day-to-day marketing execution — graphic design, social media, and content. You will work closely with the development and marketing teams to help build a sustainable tradition of donor support while helping NFCR tell its story across every channel.

Key Responsibilities

Development & Donor Support

• Support the cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship of a portfolio of prospects across annual giving programs (Corporate Match/Payroll, Honor/Memorial Gifts, Rose Fund, Sustainers, In-House Mail)
• Assist in coordinating annual campaigns, in-house direct mail, and email solicitation programs to grow participation and donor retention
• Help track campaign performance (response rates, ROI) and support reporting on annual fund results
• Maintain accurate donor records in the CRM

Marketing & Communications

• Design graphics for digital and print use, including social media, email campaigns, event materials, and web assets
• Manage and schedule content across NFCR’s social media platforms
• Write and edit blog posts, newsletter content, and donor-facing communications that convey NFCR’s mission and research updates
• Assist in the development and execution of email marketing campaigns
• Participate in team meetings, contributing ideas and tracking action items
• Support other development and marketing projects as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Interest or experience in fundraising, sales, or marketing (academic or personal projects welcome)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with design tools (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva) and/or CRM platforms is a plus
• Strong written communication skills with an eye for clarity and storytelling
