About
CulinaryFleet is a curated food & beverage platform that connects consumers, businesses, restaurants, and bars with high-quality, vetted, and credentialed culinary professionals—including chefs, bakers, and bartenders. Our mission is to modernize how culinary talent is discovered, booked, and supported, creating a trusted ecosystem for both service providers and clients.
Role Overview
CulinaryFleet is seeking a strategic and forward-thinking Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) with deep experience in hospitality and go-to-market (GTM) execution. The ideal candidate is a brand builder, growth strategist, and analytical leader who can drive growth through data-informed storytelling, customer engagement, and scalable acquisition strategies.
As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CMO will help shape the company’s growth trajectory, market positioning, and expansion strategy while building the marketing function from the ground up.
This position begins as a part-time executive role and is designed to evolve into a full-time leadership position based on company growth, funding milestones, and market expansion objectives as CulinaryFleet expands nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and execute CulinaryFleet’s multi-channel marketing strategy with a strong GTM focus across digital, social, partnership, and experiential channels.
* Build and maintain a powerful and consistent brand identity aligned with CulinaryFleet’s mission, values, and long-term vision.
* Lead user acquisition, engagement, retention, and customer lifecycle strategies for both service providers and clients.
* Partner with the CEO and executive leadership team to develop growth strategies, market expansion plans, and customer acquisition models that support company objectives.
* Lead product positioning, market research, competitive analysis, and customer insight initiatives to strengthen product-market fit and market differentiation.
* Collaborate with executive leadership to refine positioning, messaging, and value propositions across all target segments.
* Establish and track key performance metrics to assess marketing ROI, customer acquisition costs, conversion rates, engagement, retention, and overall brand impact.
* Build scalable marketing processes, reporting frameworks, technology platforms, and customer engagement systems to support long-term growth.
* Manage, recruit, mentor, and grow an agile marketing team composed of internal talent, contractors, agencies, and strategic partners.
* Direct public relations, media relations, thought leadership, and partnership initiatives within the culinary, hospitality, and food service industries.
* Oversee launch campaigns, membership drives, strategic partnerships, and key milestone rollouts in new and existing markets.
* Use data, analytics, and customer insights to continually optimize GTM strategies, campaign performance, and customer engagement.
* Support fundraising efforts through market analysis, growth narratives, investor materials, and strategic communications as needed.
Qualifications
* 10+ years of progressive marketing leadership experience, ideally within hospitality, food & beverage, technology, marketplace platforms, or related industries.
* Proven expertise in go-to-market (GTM) strategy development and execution, with a track record of driving measurable growth.
* Strong understanding of both B2C and B2B growth models, customer acquisition strategies, and brand development.
* Experience leading brand launches, market expansion initiatives, or early-stage growth efforts within startup environments.
* Demonstrated ability to build marketing functions, processes, and teams from the ground up.
* Strong understanding of performance marketing, customer lifecycle management, analytics, and data-driven decision making.
* Exceptional communication, strategic thinking, analytical, and leadership skills.
* Experience working cross-functionally with executive leadership, product, operations, sales, and external stakeholders.
* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven, entrepreneurial, and remote-first environment.
