About the Role

Love books and want to turn that passion into real-world experience in publishing, journalism, social media, or digital marketing? Bookstr is looking for creative, enthusiastic, book-obsessed people to join our Social Media team and help us create content for a community of readers who love books as much as we do.

This is a hands-on volunteer internship created for people who are just getting started in their careers. You’ll have the chance to create real content, build a professional portfolio, gain experience promoting books and authors, and see firsthand how social media works at a major digital media platform. If BookTok and Bookstagram are part of your daily scroll and you always know which books and authors people are talking about, we want to hear from you!

Your Responsibilities

As a Social Media Intern, you will be an integral part of our content engine. You will:

• Create Social Content: Write engaging captions and copy for Bookstr’s social channels, and contribute ideas for Reels, TikToks, Stories, and other original content.
• Schedule & Publish: Help manage and schedule content across our social platforms while learning how we maintain a consistent and active presence.
• Engage Our Community: Interact with Bookstr’s audience and help create conversations around books, authors, and the topics readers care about.
• Spot What’s Trending: Keep an eye on BookTok, Bookstagram, publishing news, and
