Social Media Assistant

Job Overview

SQO Marketing is looking for a creative and organized Social Media Assistant to support our team with day-to-day social media work across multiple client accounts.

This is a supporting role focused on helping execute content, stay organized, and take routine social media tasks off the team’s workload.

You will work closely with the marketing team and follow existing strategies, brand guidelines, and content direction.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and publish social media content
• Create simple social media graphics and Stories
• Edit short-form videos for Reels and TikTok
• Write and proofread captions
• Organize photos, videos, and content assets
• Update and maintain content calendars
• Research trends, sounds, and content ideas
• Assist with on-site content creation when needed
• Support the team with additional social media tasks based on weekly priorities

Qualifications

• Familiar with Instagram, TikTok, and current social media trends
• Comfortable using Canva or similar design tools
• Basic short-form video editing skills
• Good writing and proofreading skills
• Organized and able to manage multiple small projects
• Good eye for branding and visual content
• Reliable with deadlines and communication
• Open to feedback and willing to learn

Previous agency experience is not required.

Students, recent graduates, freelancers, and early-career creatives are welcome to apply.

Schedule

Approximately 6 hours per week.

Schedule may vary depending on weekly project needs.

Compensation

$500 per month

Additional hours or responsibilities may become available as the role grows.
