Part-Time Social Media Manager (Local, Longview/Kelso)

About us

Wheeler Marketing Agency is a Castle Rock social media agency that's been helping businesses grow through organic social for 5 years. We work with a small roster of local and e-commerce brands so every account gets real attention. We're adding a local social media manager to our team to own content and strategy for a group of our Longview and Kelso clients.

This is a team member role, not a contract. We are not looking for agencies or freelancers. This position is for an experienced social media manager who can hit the ground running. It is not an entry-level role.

What you'll do

• Plan and record content at client locations around Longview and Kelso (typically weekly or every other week per client)
• Build shot lists and content recording plans before each shoot
• Write captions and schedule content across Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
• Write design briefs and editing notes for our design and editing team
• Monitor account performance and adjust strategy based on what the analytics show
• Meet with clients and with the agency owner to plan content and review results
• Help plan and manage content for the agency’s own Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn

What you need

• Proven experience managing social media for businesses (please share accounts you've run)
• Deep understanding of how each platform works and how to create content for a specific target audience
• Experience building social content that moves people toward a business goal, not just likes
• Comfort reading analytics and turning them into decisions
• Great communication skills, both in person with business owners and their teams and online with clients and our team
• Availability Monday through Friday
• Your own reliable vehicle and auto insurance
• Your own computer and an iPhone (preferred)
• Based in or near Longview/Kelso

• Canva experience
• CapCut or other video editing experience

Pay and schedule

• $28/hour, part-time
• 10 to 20 hours per week to start, with the possibility of growing into a full-time role
• Monday through Friday, no weekends
• Drive time between shoots is paid
• Paid sick leave per Washington State law
