Part-time content creator and social media manager

We are seeking a creative, organized, and reliable Video Content Creator & Social Media Manager to help grow our online presence in the construction, remodeling, and real estate industries.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning video content, developing scripts and scenarios, recording videos at our construction job sites, editing footage, and managing our social media accounts. You will work directly with the business owner to create engaging educational videos, showcase our projects, document our crew's work, and produce content that builds brand awareness and attracts potential customers.

This is a hands-on, part-time position that combines creative work from home with on-site video recording several times per week.

Key Responsibilities

Video Planning & Scripting

Develop creative video ideas, scripts, and scenarios for construction, remodeling, home improvement, and real estate content.

Plan educational videos featuring the business owner discussing industry topics.

Organize a content calendar to maintain a consistent publishing schedule.

Video Recording & Production

Travel to construction job sites approximately three times per week to record project progress, crew activities, before-and-after transformations, and behind-the-scenes footage.

Record the business owner presenting educational content and discussing projects.

Capture high-quality video footage suitable for social media and longer educational videos.

Video Editing

Edit raw footage into engaging short-form videos for Facebook Reels, Instagram Reels, and TikTok.

Produce approximately one 10-minute educational video per week featuring the business owner.

Add captions, subtitles, graphics, music, transitions, and other editing elements as appropriate.

Repurpose longer videos into shorter clips for social media distribution.

Social Media Management

Manage and maintain our Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube accounts.

Prepare captions, hashtags, and post descriptions.

Schedule and publish content consistently across platforms.

Monitor content performance and recommend ways to improve engagement and audience growth.

Maintain organized video files and track upcoming content and publication schedules.

Qualifications & Requirements

Must meet the applicable legal minimum working age.

Must have reliable transportation and be able to travel to construction job sites several times per week.

Must have a valid driver's license if required to legally operate a vehicle.

Must be able to work independently from home and manage time effectively.

Must have the ability to develop video scripts, scenarios, and creative content ideas.

Must be capable of recording, editing, and producing professional-quality videos.

Must be comfortable managing multiple social media accounts and scheduling posts.

Must be dependable, organized, creative, and able to meet deadlines.

Must be comfortable recording people and working in active construction environments.

Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Canva, or similar content creation tools is preferred. Previous experience creating content for construction, home improvement, real estate, or other service businesses is a plus.

Compensation & Work Schedule

Gas Reimbursement: Reimbursement for approved work-related travel to job sites.

Hours: Approximately 3–4 hours per day, with a consistent part-time schedule to be agreed upon.

Work Location: Primarily work from home, with travel to local construction sites approximately three times per week.
