Our small but mighty company is based in the Kansas City area. We provide financial coaching, advisory services and bookkeeping to service businesses across the US, with a particular focus on chiropractic and physical therapy practices and the music industry.

We're biased, but we believe we're the best at what we do. We are known for being timely and accurate, and for caring deeply about our clients. The work we do changes lives.

And we're growing. We have big goals for the impact we want to have, and they start with reaching more business owners who are stressed about money and don't know where to turn. There are a lot of them, and every one we reach has a real chance at a calmer, more profitable business. That's where you come in.

We're looking for a Marketing Manager to own our marketing, full time or part time. You'll set the strategy, run the work and measure the results across every channel relevant to our marketing strategy : SEO content, a webinar series, social media, cold email, paid ads, and growing the audience for our weekly newsletter, The Profit Shift. You'll have a direct hand in how many owners we're able to help, and you'll be part of our journey as we grow.

You won't start from a blank page. We've built AI marketing agents and processes that already do a lot of the heavy lifting. They turn each newsletter into a week of social posts, watch our ads and search results, and suggest improvements. You'll have a hand in managing the entire marketing strategy including how we best make use of agents, and you'll have the freedom to improve them, replace them or build better ones.

Let's get into the job details:

• The position can be full time, 40 hours a week, or part time, 20 to 30 hours a week. Tell us which you're looking for.
• The starting pay is $55,000 to $75,000 a year full time, or $26.50 to $36 an hour part time, based on experience. At your 90 day review, your pay goes up $4,000 a year full time, or $2 an hour part time, if the written goals we set together in your first week are met. After that, you're eligible for a quarterly bonus for hitting the marketing targets we agree on.

• The work is hybrid, with 1 to 2 days a week in our office and the rest from home. Fridays are always virtual!
• The work is meaningful. Many of the owners we work with came to us losing sleep over payroll and taxes. When our marketing reaches the right person, it can be the start of real relief for them and their family.
• You'll own real results. You'll start by running the work. As your plan proves itself, more of the decisions move to you, and over time you'll shape how marketing runs across the whole company.
• You'll work directly with our owners.
• You will always be learning. AI tools and agents, how service businesses grow, and the Profit First system, which you may find useful in your own finances too.
• Your ideas matter. If you see a better way to reach owners or tell our story, we want to hear it, and you'll have room to make it happen.
• You'll know exactly where you stand. The first six months are an introductory period. We set written goals together in your first week and review them formally at 90 days and at 6 months. At each review, either of us can decide the role isn't the right fit.

Now that you're intrigued, let's review the job requirements.

• Three or more years of marketing experience where you were responsible for results, with work you can show us.
• You write well, and you can write in someone else's voice. Ours is direct and warm. If your writing leans on hype and buzzwords, this probably isn't the right fit.
• You use AI tools in your work every day, and you're comfortable telling a machine draft where it got things wrong.
• You like numbers enough to read a report and explain in plain words what changed and why.
• You're motivated and self driven. We work remotely from each other some of the time, so no one will be looking over your shoulder.
• You ABSOLUTELY have to be a person of integrity. We handle sensitive financial information, and our clients trust us with it.
• You can be counted on for deadlines. The newsletter goes out every week, social posts are queued every Friday, and webinars run on a schedule.

A few nice to haves that aren't job requirements.

• Experience building or improving AI agents, automations or workflows
• Experience with Beehiiv, HighLevel, Meta Business Suite or WordPress
• Marketing for service businesses, healthcare practices or coaches
• You've grown an email list or newsletter before

To sum up, your job will be to own our marketing across every channel. You'll build the strategy with our owners and run it. You'll manage and improve the AI agents and processes that do the heavy lifting, write the pieces that need a human touch, and decide where effort goes.
