Media Relations Account Executive - Public Relations

Full time, fully remote role in the United States, starting salary at 65k to 80k annually, based on experience.

Role Overview

We are seeking an Account Executive to drive high-impact media coverage and brand visibility for innovative companies in Defense Tech, Energy, Sustainability and Climate, Industrial Manufacturing, and B2B Tech. You will own the day-to-day media relations strategy and execution, building deep relationships with journalists and editors, identifying story opportunities, crafting compelling pitches, and connecting client leaders and SMEs with the right media at the right time. This is a hands-on role where your success is measured by placements secured, relationships built, and the visibility you generate for our client partners.

We’re not looking for someone who plays by the old school rules of outreach. We want someone who is forward thinking, who knows traditional media *and* finds opportunity in new spaces like Substack, Bluesky, newsletters, and emerging communities. Someone who can tap existing relationships and forge new ones. Someone who earns coverage with storylines that matter.
