Marketing Coordinator

Job Summary

Cherry Arts Inc. seeks a Marketing Coordinator who can work remotely or in-person between the hours of 9:30am-4:30pm EST (regular morning hours preferred). The ideal candidate is collaborative, creative, flexible, and a clear communicator who can deliver high quality work quickly and efficiently.

The Cherry is a multidisciplinary arts facilitator and creator in Ithaca NY, curating our flexible venues, the Cherry Artspace, Cherry Gallery, and Camilla Schade Studio. The Cherry Arts is committed to increasing and maintaining the diversity of our creative family and encourages all qualified applicants.

Can be remote, in-person, or a mix.

Primary Responsibilities

• Create marketing materials (Adobe suite) for Cherry projects & initiatives, including social media, print, web, and short video, including copywriting
• Create e-blasts weekly or more, (Mailchimp) with staff, including layout and drafting text
• Post daily on one or more social media feeds (Facebook, Instagram) in consultation with FT staff
• Update website (Wordpress) regularly in consultation with F/T staff
• Create and link event registration Google forms to marketing materials, or by QR code, responding to related technical issues with form access
• Collaboratively draft and submit press releases to regional outlets, tracking coverage
• Create show programs (InDesign) based on previous models, including advertising and sponsorship recognition
• Remotely attend staff meetings on Tuesdays (or as rescheduled for holidays)
• Remotely attend in-person follow-up meetings and work sessions as needed
• Contribute to development communications and research as needed
