Marketing Communications Specialist

Our company is a technology consultancy dedicated to direct collaboration with Department of Defense mission partners to develop technology solutions to solve real National Security challenges. Our programming includes critical technology & venture creation, lab-to-market commercialization, and direct funding and contracting support to develop prototypes, training and support for entrepreneurs and the tech workforce needed to ensure these startups and our mission partners succeed.

We are seeking a part-time Marketing & Communications Specialist to support communications, storytelling, outreach, and brand management for its work supporting the Defense Innovation Unit (DIU) and the OnRamp Hub: Arizona. This role is responsible for translating complex defense innovation activities into clear, compelling, and accurate communications for government stakeholders, industry partners, technology companies, and the broader innovation ecosystem. The Marketing & Communications Specialist will work closely with program leadership, engagement staff, and technical teams to document program activities and outcomes, promote events and opportunities, maintain consistent messaging and branding, and communicate the impact of the OnRamp Hub: Arizona.

This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic judgment and execution. The successful candidate will be comfortable moving between communications planning, content development, event promotion, digital communications, stakeholder engagement, and program reporting support.

Strategic Communications & Messaging

• Develop and execute communications plans aligned with DIU and OnRamp Hub: Arizona program objectives.
• Translate technical, acquisition, and defense innovation activities into clear and accessible messaging for government, industry, and public audiences.
