Brand Marketing & Experiences Manager

Job Description
About the role
We're looking for a Brand Marketing & Experiences Manager to bring the Leading Authorities brand to life at our events and on social media, and to turn that attention into leads for our sales team.
This is an ownership role. We want someone who anticipates what's next instead of waiting to be asked: you spot opportunities early, solve problems and treat every event and channel as your own. If you need a detailed playbook or step-by-step direction before you get started, this isn't the role for you.
This is also a hands-on role. You run our events from start to finish and write our social content yourself. You collaborate with our Senior Content Marketing Manager and Marketing Content Producer, and work with our video team on what to capture, turning photos, video, emails and blog posts into social content that reaches meeting planners and event buyers.
You like to win: you set ambitious goals, track the numbers and celebrate when an event fills the room or a campaign brings in new business. You work hard, take the work seriously but not yourself, and know that the best events are the ones the host is enjoying too.
Reports to
VP, Marketing Location: Washington, DC (hybrid: 3–4 days in office, 1–2 days remote) Type: Full-time, exempt Travel and schedule: Occasional travel and some evenings for events
Key responsibilities
People experience the Leading Authorities brand through our events and our social media. This role owns both, and makes every one of those moments feel unmistakably like us.
Strategy and results
- Recommend which sponsorships to renew, add or drop, based on results.
- Set measurable goals for each event before it happens and report total cost against return afterward.
- Connect events, social, video and sales follow-up into campaigns, so each major event becomes weeks of content and a clear path to booked business.
- Track and audit the leads and booked business generated by every event and campaign, and report cost per lead and return on spend.
Events
- Create brand experiences at our own events that leave meeting planners and CEOs with a lasting impression of Leading Authorities.
- Own every event from concept to follow-up, including venues, vendors, speakers and the guest experience.
- Lead internal events that strengthen our culture and help us attract and keep great people.
- Stay current on event and experiential trends and bring fresh ideas that keep our events ahead of the industry.
Social media and content
- Own our social strategy, with clear goals for leads, engagement and brand recognition, and bring new formats and ideas that keep our channels fresh.
- Write, schedule and publish 3–5 social posts per week, including all captions and copy.
- Turn our emails, blog posts, speaker content, photos and video into social posts, in collaboration with our Senior Content Marketing Manager, Marketing Content Producer and video team.
- Publish 1–2 LinkedIn articles per month to grow reach and followers among meeting planners and event buyers.
- Turn social engagement into leads for sales.
QualificationsRequired
- A go-getter who acts fast: you see what needs to happen and do it, no prompting needed.
- A dot-connector: you see how an event, a speaker appearance and a sales conversation fit together, and you turn that into action.
- A test-and-learn mindset: you try new tactics, measure what works and drop what doesn't.
- 2–4 years in brand marketing, event marketing or experiential marketing, ideally B2B or professional services.
- Experience running events from contracts and logistics through follow-up, ideally for executive audiences.
- Hands-on experience running company social channels, especially LinkedIn, including writing posts and captions, scheduling and analytics.
- Experience turning long-form content, such as emails, blog posts and video, into short-form social posts.
- Excellent writing and organization skills, with the ability to juggle several events and a content calendar at once.
Preferred
- Experience working with meeting planners or event buyers, whether in event marketing, agency work or hospitality.
- A track record of generating leads from social media.
- Working knowledge of HubSpot and a CRM.
- Experience managing a marketing or events budget, including forecasting, tracking spend and reporting return.
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, hospitality or a related field.
Compensation and benefits
- Salary range: 60,000 to 70,000 USD per year, based on experience.
- [Health, dental and vision insurance]
- [401(k) with company match]
- [Paid time off and holidays]
- [Other benefits]
