Marketing & Communications Manager

Position Overview

The Marketing & Communications Manager will share the Chamber’s efforts through strategic messaging and communications. The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for the Chamber’s brand voice, event marketing execution, and event and membership growth. Additionally, the Communications Manager will play a key role in creating, engaging with, and monitoring social media content.

Responsibilities

This position reports to the Sr. Marketing & Communications Director. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Manage creation and distribution of all membership emails and communications
Responsible for content creation, engagement, monitoring, and analysis of Chamber social media channels
Create, curate, and manage compelling content, including graphics, videos, and copy, tailored for each platform and audience
Develop and execute multi-channel campaigns to promote Chamber events and programs, maximize registration and ticket sales, and review performance from a marketing perspective
Execute sponsorship fulfillment assets alongside the membership team
Work with Sr. Marketing Director to coordinate all press trips, media stays, and engagement
Maintain and enhance editorial photo library and online media center
Support media relations efforts, including assisting with media outreach, responding to inquiries, drafting press releases, and preparing staff for interviews
Support membership recruitment, retention, and events through effective communications
Work a flexible schedule outside of normal working hours when required
Perform other duties that may be assigned to this position by the CEO and Sr. Marketing Director

Qualifications

Excellent written and verbal communication skills
2+ years of experience in a communications or marketing role
Superior time management and organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Knowledge of email marketing software such as Constant Contact or a similar program
Experience executing regular, branded social media content

Physical Requirements

Must communicate clearly in English
Must be able to sit and operate a computer for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs
