Sports Marketing Coordinator

Location: Beaverton, OR (Hybrid: Onsite Monday-Thursday, Remote Friday)

Position Type: 6-Month Contract (With potential for extension based on performance and business needs)

Hours: 40 per week (eligible for overtime)

Compensation Range: $28-30/hr

We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Marketing Coordinator to join an industry-leading global retail brand's Sports Marketing Team. This role is focused on building product and brand demand, understanding external constituents, and effectively presenting company and product information.

In this position, you will play a critical role in supporting a key initiative: building and expanding a comprehensive new database containing confidential data on sponsored athletes. You will conduct in-depth athlete research, manage data entry, and assist in executing category marketing programs across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Database & Athlete Research: Help build, populate, and maintain a new database containing key details and information on sponsored athletes; perform thorough research on athletes and sports figures.
• Program Execution & Support: Provide training and support to ensure premium execution of marketing initiatives and category programs.
• Asset & Content Direction: Help direct and elevate consumer-facing assets to guarantee consistent delivery and alignment with global brand standards.
• Process & Tool Development: Create best practices, documentation, and tools to drive global awareness, adoption, and cross-functional alignment.
• Merchandising Support: Maximize internal Merchandising Center resources to support category game plans and ensure merchandising excellence.
• Vendor & Timeline Management: Engage with external vendors to manage marketing deliverables, keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
• Data Discretion: Handle sensitive, high-profile athlete and brand information with strict confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2-4 years of professional experience in a marketing, research, or data-focused role.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in data entry and the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• AI Familiarity: Working familiarity or comfortable exposure to modern AI tools and concepts.
• Industry Interest: Basic knowledge of sports and athletes (prior experience working with or researching athletes is a strong bonus).
• Confidentiality: Demonstrated ability to handle highly confidential information with absolute discretion and professionalism.
