Social Media Specialist

Overview

As a Social Media Specialist, you’ll shape how audiences experience a brand across social media platforms. You’ll plan and create engaging content, manage publishing, and use analytics to refine digital marketing efforts. Your work will bring brand voice to life while building meaningful connections with online communities.

Duties

• Develop social media marketing plans and calendars; create, write, proofread, and edit content, including graphics, photography, and video.
• Manage social media accounts and communication, respond to audience needs, and support relationship management and public relations.
• Use social listening, keyword research, and search engine optimization (SEO) to inform content and strengthen discoverability.
• Monitor digital marketing performance using social media, web, and marketing analytics; report findings through Google Analytics and platform insights.
• Coordinate campaigns, including Facebook Advertising, using Hootsuite or Buffer; apply Adobe Creative Suite tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator for graphic design and media editing.

Experience

• Experience in social media management, content creation, social media content marketing, or digital marketing.
• Familiarity with social media analytics, marketing online analytics, media performance analytics, and digital marketing performance monitoring.
• Working knowledge of Hootsuite or Buffer; experience with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or other media editing tools is preferred.
• Strong content writing, proofreading, communication, and organization skills; video editing experience is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 32.0 per week
