Social Media Manager
- Whimsocal Studios | Full-Time, Hybrid
- Department: Marketing
- Reports To: Director of Marketing
- Brands: JuJuBe, Bella Tunno, Studio Oh!, Orange Circle Studio, and Saturday Sundae
The Social Media Manager will own the development, execution, and optimization of organic social media strategies across Whimsocal Studios' portfolio of brands. This is a hands-on role requiring both strategic thinking and creative execution. The ideal candidate is a strong storyteller, an experienced content creator, and a data-driven marketer who understands social trends, platform algorithms, audience behavior, and the importance of maintaining distinct brand identities. Working closely with the Director of Marketing, Product, Design, Ecommerce, and Sales, this individual will translate marketing priorities and product launches into compelling social content and measurable channel growth.
Social Media Strategy & Growth
- Develop and execute organic social media strategies tailored to each brand's positioning, audience, and business objectives.
- Own social media content calendars across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and other relevant platforms.
- Build platform-specific content strategies that support brand awareness, audience growth, engagement, website traffic, and product discovery.
- Identify emerging trends, cultural moments, and content opportunities relevant to each brand.
- Develop creative approaches to product launches, seasonal campaigns, brand storytelling, and evergreen content.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to establish channel priorities, growth objectives, and performance benchmarks.
Content Creation
- Conceptualize, create, and produce engaging, platform-native content, including Reels, TikToks, Stories, short-form video, and static posts.
- Capture and edit social-first content, including product demonstrations, behind-the-scenes footage, lifestyle content, and trend-driven videos.
- Write compelling, brand-appropriate captions, hooks, and calls to action.
- Develop content briefs and shot lists for social media content needs, coordinating with Creative and Marketing on production.
- Repurpose existing photography, video, and approved creator content into engaging social assets.
- Maintain consistent visual storytelling and distinct brand voices across the portfolio.
- Identify opportunities to improve content quality, storytelling, and production efficiency.
Campaign Planning & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Translate integrated marketing calendars, product launches, and promotional priorities into actionable social media plans.
- Partner with Ecommerce to align social content with product availability, merchandising priorities, and customer behavior.
- Collaborate with Product & Design to ensure timely development and delivery of campaign assets.
- Work with the Influencer & Community Coordinator to incorporate approved influencer and user-generated content into social calendars.
- Coordinate with the Social Media Coordinator on publishing, scheduling, asset organization, and execution.
- Ensure social content follows internal review processes, brand guidelines, and applicable licensing approval requirements.
Social Media Performance & Optimization
- Own organic social media reporting, including reach, impressions, engagement, follower growth, content performance, and referral traffic.
- Establish and maintain performance benchmarks to evaluate channel growth over time.
- Analyze content performance to identify what resonates with each brand's audience.
- Recommend content adjustments and testing opportunities based on performance insights.
- Provide monthly social media recaps highlighting key takeaways, opportunities, and actionable recommendations.
- Monitor platform changes and evolving best practices to continuously improve social performance.
Social Execution & Channel Management
- Oversee day-to-day social media execution and ensure content is published accurately and on schedule.
- Maintain visibility into publishing calendars, creative assets, campaign deadlines, and approval statuses.
- Guide the part-time Social Media Coordinator on approved content execution and publishing priorities.
- Ensure timely coordination of social assets, captions, links, and campaign materials.
- Partner with the Influencer & Community Coordinator to surface community feedback, emerging conversations, and content opportunities.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of professional experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing, preferably within consumer products, lifestyle, retail, or ecommerce.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing organic social strategies that drive measurable audience growth and engagement.
- Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and evolving social media trends.
- Proven ability to create and edit engaging short-form video content independently.
- Experience with social scheduling, analytics, and reporting tools, preferably Sprout Social.
- Proficiency with content creation tools such as CapCut, Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar platforms.
- Strong copywriting skills and the ability to adapt tone and storytelling across multiple brands.
- Experience supporting product launches, promotional campaigns, and integrated marketing initiatives.
- Ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into actionable recommendations.
- Excellent project management, organization, and communication skills.
- Comfortable managing multiple brands, competing priorities, and fast-moving deadlines.
- Experience working with licensed consumer products and approval processes is a plus.
The Ideal Candidate
You are equal parts creative storyteller, content creator, and strategic marketer. You understand that great social media is more than posting consistently—it's about knowing your audience, creating content that earns attention, and using performance insights to continually improve.
You're comfortable jumping behind the camera, editing a Reel, writing a compelling caption, and presenting a social performance recap. You can balance the personalities of multiple brands while keeping their content fresh, relevant, and engaging. Most importantly, you're proactive, collaborative, resourceful, and excited to help build the next chapter of Whimsocal Studios' social media presence.
