Job Description
Our Houston digital marketing team manages social media for a range of brands in the health and wellness, retail, professional services and home furnishings industries. We are hiring a Social Media Coordinator to manage publishing and community engagement for multiple client accounts and help capture content that brings each brand's strategy to life.
You will combine thoughtful publishing and audience engagement with hands-on content capture, working closely with our strategy, photography and production teams.
About Steinreich Communications
Steinreich Communications is an independent public relations and communications firm founded in 2003, with offices across the United States, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The firm works in media relations, corporate communications, crisis, investor relations and public affairs, and its client roster spans national food and beverage, health and wellness, defense, technology, government, not-for-profit, consumer and home furnishings brands. Our Houston Digital Marketing team runs social-first content for a portfolio of local and national clients, and this role sits on that team.
About the role
You will own day-to-day publishing and community management for your assigned accounts, following each client's approved calendar, brand voice and service scope. We manually publish content during each client's allocated daily audience engagement time, with exceptions coordinated as needed. You will also support content sessions, helping clients feel comfortable on camera and making sure the planned footage is captured. Session cadence varies by client: monthly, every other month, quarterly or three times per year.
What you will do
- Publish approved content manually. Manage feed posts, Reels, videos and Stories across multiple accounts according to each client's calendar. Prepare assets in advance and publish during allocated daily audience engagement time, coordinating exceptions when needed.
- Own community management. Respond to comments and DMs, engage with relevant audiences and flag inquiries or issues that need client input. Keep replies aligned with each brand's voice and work within the engagement time included in its scope.
- Capture content at client sessions. Work alongside our photographer and content team using cameras, iPhones, gimbals and stabilizers. Attend sessions as scheduled across the portfolio; individual clients have different session frequencies.
- Guide clients on camera. Help clients prepare for filming, provide clear direction during takes and capture footage that supports the approved content plan.
- Keep shoots aligned with the plan. Track the shot list and content requirements, adapt when needed and flag missing footage before the session ends.
- Run boosting and support paid campaigns in Meta Ads Manager.
- Share performance insights. Report on content performance, audience engagement and recurring questions each month to help the strategy team refine its recommendations.
What we are looking for:Required
- One or more years managing social accounts professionally, either at an agency or running several brands simultaneously in-house.
- Professional experience publishing and managing communities across multiple platforms, including Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, LinkedIn and YouTube. Familiarity with platform-specific formats, publishing tools and audience expectations.
- Experience publishing and managing Instagram and TikTok accounts day to day, including Stories.
- Based in the Houston area and available for in-person content sessions, which run weekly across the portfolio.
- Reliable availability during each client's daily engagement window, since we publish manually rather than scheduling in advance.
Preferred
- Experience with Meta Ads Manager, post boosting or paid social.
- Experience working with the Notion app.
- Your own portfolio or reel of content you shot, published, or both.
- Experience with a social scheduling or listening tool such as Later, Buffer or Sprout.
How we work
You will move between brands with different voices, audiences and posting schedules. Planning ahead matters: prepare approved posts before publishing time, keep track of engagement commitments and coordinate coverage when content sessions overlap with account responsibilities. Raise scheduling conflicts, missing approvals or client concerns early so the team can work through them.
Compensation and benefits
Salary range: $45,000 to $53,500 per year, depending on experience. Where a candidate lands in the band depends on filming ability, paid-social experience and how independently they can carry an account.
Benefits include
- Medical, dental and vision coverage
- 401(k) with employer match
- Short- and long-term disability and life insurance
- A collaborative digital team with opportunities to contribute across a varied client portfolio
- A small, senior team where your work is visible and your name is on it
