Social Media and Marketing Manager The Wag Spot | Doggo Sit Stay Play Loves Park, IL | South Beloit, IL | Janesville, WI 32-40 hours per week | $18-$20 per hour

We own a family of pet care brands: Doggo Sit Stay Play, a daycare, boarding, grooming, and social dog park facility where clients come to hang out with their pups. We’re growing The Wag Spot in South Beloit, and Janesville, and we need one creative, organized person to own how we show up online and in the community.

What you’ll do:

• Plan, shoot, and post content across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and Google for each brand, keeping each one’s voice its own
• Capture the good stuff happening: playgroups, fresh grooms, boarding, and happy dog park regulars
• Plan and run events like dog park socials, holiday photo days, puppy meetups, adoption days, and grand openings
• Promote our services and programs, including dog training classes, grooming specials, and boarding during busy seasons
• Build relationships with local businesses, rescues, vets, and community groups across the Stateline area for partnerships and sponsorships
• Manage email and text campaigns, simple ads, and our website content
• Track what’s working and share regular updates with ownership

What we’re looking for:

• Experience managing social media for a business (your own accounts count if you can show results)
• A good eye for photos and short video, and comfort editing on your phone with apps like CapCut or Canva
• Strong writing skills and a fun, warm voice
• Someone organized enough to keep a content calendar and plan an event weeks out
• Comfortable around dogs of all sizes and energy levels
• Reliable transportation to travel between our three locations
• Self-motivated, with availability for some evenings and weekends for events
• Bonus points for experience with paid ads, event planning, or the pet industry

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
