Job Description

About Us

CSP Agency is an established SEO, Generative Engine Optimization (GEO), content, and link-building agency. We work with businesses across industries and organizational sizes, including technology, professional services, eCommerce, and national brands. Our strategies start with understanding each client’s business, audiences, and goals.

Our approach is Human-First, AI-Enhanced. We combine experienced practitioners, thoughtful strategy, and AI-enabled execution to help clients improve search visibility and achieve meaningful business results.

About This Opportunity

We’re looking for a senior, hands-on practitioner who can independently lead complex client engagements from discovery and onboarding through strategy, content development, technical recommendations, project management, and reporting. You will be a primary point of contact for an assigned portfolio and personally perform core strategy and delivery work.

This is a senior individual-contributor role. You will investigate complex problems, make well-supported recommendations, explain tradeoffs, and move work forward with a high degree of independence. You will collaborate with the Director of Client Delivery, Content Manager, link-building manager, client stakeholders, and developers while remaining accountable for your assigned work.

ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership

Learn how each client’s business operates, what it sells, who it serves, and what success means. Lead onboarding and guide client validation of offering priorities, audiences, brand voice, and factual claims. Translate that foundation into prioritized SEO and GEO roadmaps tied to business goals and approved scope.

SEO & Organic Growth Strategy

Audit websites, investigate performance problems, and distinguish symptoms from root causes. Develop actionable recommendations for site architecture, crawlability, indexation, internal linking, structured data, and content optimization. Prioritize work by business value, evidence, dependencies, and effort. Coordinate implementation with client teams or their developers, then validate the changes; this role does not replace the client’s developer.

GEO & AI Search Strategy

Develop prompt research, assess brand visibility in AI-generated answers, and test opportunities to improve discoverability, representation, and citations. Use CSP’s workflows and relevant monitoring platforms, document what you tested, and explain what the evidence does and does not support. Contribute evidence-based improvements to shared methods as search environments evolve.

Project Management

Turn approved scope into tasks, owners, deadlines, and dependencies. Maintain accurate project records, follow up on approvals and blockers, and make delivery risks visible early. Escalate changes to scope, schedule, or budget before committing to additional work. Keep production, client delivery, approval, and publication statuses distinct.

Content Strategy & Delivery

Research topics, develop content blueprints, and draft, revise, and optimize content using AI-assisted workflows. Partner with the Content Manager while owning the accuracy, sourcing, brand fit, and quality of your deliverables. Guide client reviews and coordinate publication handoffs. Work with the link-building manager to align authority-building, link, and citation opportunities with client priorities.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Analyze search performance, relevant AI-visibility data, conversions, and progress toward agreed business goals. Build reports that explain what changed, why it matters, what remains uncertain, and what should happen next. Distinguish visibility indicators from business outcomes and avoid claims the available data cannot substantiate.

Client Leadership

Lead productive client meetings, guide decisions, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Explain recommendations and tradeoffs, address concerns directly, and follow through on commitments. Contribute to discovery and scoping when capacity allows, and share useful methods and lessons with peers.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of hands-on SEO experience across strategy and execution.
  • At least seven years of client-facing SEO account management, including prior agency experience.
  • Demonstrated ownership of complex SEO engagements. Relevant experience may involve B2B, lead generation, service businesses, eCommerce, or other business models; no single industry or website size defines qualification.
  • Strong technical SEO, content strategy, and authority-building knowledge, with a working understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, structured data, and site architecture.
  • Practical GEO/AEO experience that includes testing, implementation recommendations, and measurement.
  • Professional experience using generative AI for research, analysis, and content development, with a clear process for validating outputs and correcting errors.
  • Proven project-management and client-communication skills, including prioritization, dependency management, scope awareness, and follow-through.
  • Ability to interpret data, explain limitations, and connect recommendations and results to client business goals.

Proficiency with tools such as SEMrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4, Looker Studio, and project-management platforms such as Monday.com. You should be comfortable with CMS environments, generative AI tools, and GEO monitoring platforms, and able to learn new systems without losing sight of the work they support.

Experience with website migrations, relaunch recovery, multiple audience journeys, or complex stakeholder environments is valuable.
