Senior Account Manager, Public Relations

Role Overview

, a modern marketing-communications consulting firm, is shifting the way growing brands approach PR. This role will support Maven’s Director of Brand Strategy in carrying out all aspects of media relations for some of the consumer world’s newest and most cutting-edge brands.

The Senior Account Manager, Public Relations will support the development and execution of our brands’ strategic communications efforts throughout Maven’s various campaign phases, with a concentrated focus on media relations.

Responsibilities Breakdown

Admin & Operations

• Maintain internal and external databases, documents, lists, and assets
• Create and manage editorial calendars
• Generate client-ready agendas and status notes/recap for calls, campaigns, and other initiatives

Client & Campaign Management

• Join all client calls and present ongoing PR, influencer, and commerce efforts
• Track coverage, campaign metrics, and competitive trends, providing proactive media ideas and recommendations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal and client teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment on deliverables

Media Outreach & Coordination

• Develop and execute brand and product pitch concepts across earned, influencer, and commerce media
• Lead media outreach, follow-up, and coordination of interviews, samples, and asset sends
• Build thoughtful relationships with key journalists, editors, and media contacts
• Keep a pulse on the ever-changing media landscape through industry analysis and research
• Generate coverage reports and manage media clipping needs/protocols with a critical, analytical eye
• Craft client-ready briefing materials for media opportunities

Affiliate & Commerce PR

• Oversee commerce pitching and product award submissions
• Manage brand award nominations and calendar
• Support internal affiliate team pitching and coordination with commerce editors and partners

Marketing-Communications & Content

• Support additional PR initiatives including trade show coordination and creative campaign ideation
• Participate in brainstorming sessions to generate new ideas that drive awareness and engagement

Requirements

• Between 5-10 years of communications, public relations, or journalism experience
• Experience and understanding of media relations in consumer, business, and trade channels
• CPG, food/bev, or consumer goods experience is highly preferred
• Extremely strong attention to detail and follow-through
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for both external and internal needs
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
• Passion for public relations with a keen creative eye
• Excitement around supporting passionate founders, startups, and their teams
• Growth mindset and entrepreneurial spirit
• Preferred software proficiencies: Google Drive, Asana, Excel, Slack, Powerpoint, Canva, Notion, MuckRack

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
