Philadelphia, PA, USPosted 1 day ago

Job Description

Location

Philadelphia, PA (Hybrid: On-site & Remote) Engagement: Initial 30-day contract, with potential extension Start: ASAP Compensation: To be discussed based on experience and scope

About the Opportunity

We're preparing to launch a new, independently developed cultural experience in Philadelphia and are looking for a talented, well-connected, hands-on Marketing & PR Launch Lead to help bring it to market.

Our creative direction, branding, website, ticketing infrastructure, and marketing strategy are already in place. We've spent months building the foundation, and now we need someone who can take the existing plan, refine it where necessary, and make things happen.

This is not a traditional marketing strategy, brand development, or consulting role. We're looking for an experienced doer who can take ownership, activate their network, coordinate resources, and independently execute a multifaceted launch campaign.

What You'll Own

  • PR & Media Relations: Lead press outreach, pitching, press releases, journalist follow-ups, and coordination of local and regional media coverage.
  • Social Media Campaigns: Execute and manage social campaigns across relevant platforms, including content scheduling, publishing, and audience engagement.
  • Influencer & Creator Partnerships: Identify, engage, and coordinate Philadelphia-area influencers, creators, and community partners to build awareness and drive ticket sales.
  • Content & Creative Production: Coordinate the production and delivery of campaign assets, including photography, video, graphics, and social content, working within our established creative direction.
  • Website & Ticket Sales Launches: Coordinate marketing activities around a planned, multi-stage website and ticket sales rollout, collaborating with existing technical and creative resources.
  • Campaign & Launch Management: Own launch calendars, deadlines, deliverables, vendor coordination, and day-to-day campaign execution.
  • Local Outreach & Partnerships: Leverage Philadelphia cultural, hospitality, entertainment, and community relationships to generate awareness and excitement.
  • Performance & Optimization: Track campaign results, press activity, engagement, and ticket sales, making practical improvements as needed.

Who We're Looking For

  • Proven hands-on experience launching cultural experiences, attractions, entertainment venues, hospitality concepts, events, or other consumer-facing experiences.
  • Strong existing relationships with Philadelphia media, influencers, creators, and cultural or hospitality organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience in both PR and digital/social marketing execution.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple moving parts, manage outside specialists, and deliver work on tight timelines.
  • Comfortable stepping into an existing strategy and creative direction rather than rebuilding everything from scratch.
  • Resourceful, proactive, highly organized, and able to independently solve problems without constant supervision.
  • Philadelphia-based, with a genuine understanding of the city's culture, audiences, and media landscape.
  • Experience with museums, immersive experiences, themed entertainment, arts organizations, or ticketed attractions is a major plus.

The Most Important Part

We're looking for someone who can take work off our plates, not create more of it.

We're a small, creative, entrepreneurial team, and we value initiative, good judgment, resourcefulness, and follow-through over corporate processes and polished presentations.

The ideal partner is someone who can take an existing plan and run with it: making connections, getting campaigns live, coordinating specialists, following up relentlessly, and solving problems before they reach the founders.

We're open to an experienced independent professional or a small boutique team, provided there's one clearly accountable lead who will be personally involved in the day-to-day execution.

Our creative direction and major budget decisions will remain with the founders. We're looking for someone who respects that direction while bringing their own expertise, connections, and practical judgment to the execution.

How to Apply

Please include

  • A brief introduction and your connection to the Philadelphia market.
  • 2–3 examples of comparable launches or campaigns you've personally executed, including your specific role and results.
  • A description of your local media, influencer, and cultural relationships.
  • Your availability to begin, along with your anticipated rate or fee structure for an initial 30-day engagement.

We're particularly interested in people who have helped launch distinctive cultural, hospitality, entertainment, or experiential projects in Philadelphia.

This is a short-term, execution-focused opportunity with the potential to extend through opening.

Pay: From $26.69 per hour
