This position is located at the SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD), Central Office, 400 Otarre Parkway Cayce, SC 29033.

As the Internal Communications Manager, you will lead internal communications strategy and execution for BHDD's statewide workforce, ensuring every employee, regardless of role or location, stays informed, connected, and aligned with BHDD's mission.

Responsibilities for the

Internal Communications Manager include:* Develop and manage a comprehensive internal communications plan that keeps all BHDD employees informed, engaged, and connected to the agency's mission. Own the editorial calendar for internal communications and ensure the plan is responsive to agency priorities, leadership needs, and employee experience. * Serve as the editorial and distribution hub for internal agency communications - reviewing, editing, and approving emails, memos, newsletters, intranet content, and other internal communications. Apply editorial discretion to ensure what goes out is accurate, appropriate, and aligned with agency standards. Manage distribution lists and ensure communications reach the right audiences through the right channels. * Maintain style guides, templates, and writing guidelines and ensure they are applied consistently across the agency.
