Illinois Marketing Manager

The Illinois Marketing Manager owns local execution of Grown Rogue's Illinois launch and ongoing market presence. You'll take the strategy and translate it into real relationships, real events, and real content on the ground in Illinois working closely with our CMO, Sales Director, and Illinois General Manager.

This is a hands-on, market-facing role for someone who wants to build a cannabis brand's local presence from the ground up. The Marketing Manager acts a liaison between the sales and marketing teams within the company.

What You'll Do

• Own local execution of Grown Rogue's Illinois go-to-market launch, including community events, retail activations, and budtender/staff education.
• Build and manage relationships with Illinois dispensary partners, coordinating in-store presence, product education, and promotional support.
• Communicate frequently with our sales team to ensure effective development of tools, promotion analysis and adherence to budget and brand standards.
• Manage local brand ambassadors and any field marketing staff, including scheduling, training, and event coverage.
• Coordinate and direct local photography/videography to capture authentic, on-the-ground content for social and brand use.
• Partner with the national Social Media Manager to keep the @grownrogue.il Instagram account authentic to Illinois while consistent with brand voice.
• Represent Grown Rogue at local industry events, community gatherings, and cannabis culture moments relevant to the Illinois market.
• Report on local campaign performance, retail partner feedback, and market response to the CMO and Illinois General Manager.
• Manage the state’s marketing budget and vendor relationship with an eye on ROI and effectiveness.
• Track local marketing and sales performance data and compile clear, actionable reports for the CMO.
