Job Description
Events & Organic Social Media Coordinator Career Opportunity
Turn Every Show Into a Pipeline
If you’re an event marketer, trade show pro, or social media content creator who’s tired of booths that look great and produce nothing, this may be the opportunity you’ve been looking for.
A lot of companies treat home shows like a checkbox. Pay for the booth. Hand out some pens. Collect a stack of business cards that sit in a drawer until they’re worthless. Then the social accounts go quiet until the next show.
KOTA is taking a different approach. Our goal is to have a presence at around 2–3 events every week, from neighborhood home and health shows to the larger home shows held a few times a year, and to make every one of them count.
Knights of the Attic is building something different.
Where KOTA Comes In
We specialize in duct and attic renovation. We don’t sell or service HVAC equipment. Instead, we solve the hidden attic, duct, airflow, insulation, and home-performance problems that cause hot and cold rooms, high energy bills, dust, poor airflow, and poor indoor air quality.
A lot of homeowners spend thousands on new HVAC systems and still have comfort problems because the real issue isn’t always the equipment. It’s often the duct system, airflow, insulation, attic conditions, and the way the home is performing.
Most homeowners have never heard of duct and attic renovation, which means every conversation at a show and every post on our social channels is a chance to educate someone about a problem they didn’t know could be fixed. We do it with a little personality, too. At KOTA, we slay Attic Dragons.
Why This Role Is Different
At KOTA, you’re not just showing up to staff a table or scheduling posts somebody else made. You own the result.
As the Events & Organic Social Media Coordinator, you’ll run KOTA’s presence at around 2–3 events per week: smaller home, health, and community shows throughout the year, plus the larger home shows held a few times a year. You’ll plan each show, set up a booth that looks and sounds like KOTA, talk with homeowners, capture qualified leads, get those leads into ServiceTitan the right way, and report what every show actually produced. When you’re not planning or running a show, you’re creating: video, photos, graphics, and posts that keep KOTA visible and trusted across Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Nextdoor, and other platforms where Phoenix homeowners spend their time.
This role offers
- Real ownership of a lead-generation channel, not just event logistics.
- A steady, active event calendar with something new nearly every week.
- A creative outlet between shows, with your content published on KOTA’s channels.
- A direct line to the Director of Marketing and a seat at the table on what KOTA does next.
- Results you can see: leads captured, appointments booked, and content that performs.
- The chance to help build a new category in the Phoenix market.
What You’ll Own: Events, Leads, & Organic Social Media
You’ll run KOTA’s event presence, make sure those events turn into real leads, and keep our organic social channels active between shows.
- Plan and run around 2–3 events per week, from neighborhood home and health shows to the larger home shows held a few times a year.
- Handle registration, logistics, booth setup, and materials so every event is organized and looks like KOTA.
- Engage homeowners at the booth, explain KOTA’s assessment-based approach, and capture qualified leads.
- Get every lead into ServiceTitan quickly with the correct event source, and hand it off for prompt follow-up.
- Report what each event cost and produced, and recommend which events are worth repeating.
- Create and publish organic content (video, photos, graphics, and posts) across Facebook, Instagram, Reddit, Nextdoor, and other platforms as directed.
- Turn events into content, with pre-show announcements, live booth moments, and post-show recaps.
- Keep every booth, printed piece, and post consistent with KOTA’s brand voice, fonts, colors, and logos.
- Respond to comments and messages professionally and route real inquiries so they become leads.
Who Wins in This Role
This opportunity is built for someone who
- Is comfortable starting conversations with strangers and enjoys working a room.
- Cares more about the leads a show produces than how busy the booth looked.
- Can switch between event planner, booth host, and content creator without dropping anything, week after week.
- Has a sharp eye for brand consistency and catches the typo before anyone else does.
- Plans ahead instead of scrambling the week of the show.
- Takes ownership of results and follows through until the job is actually done.
- Is coachable, organized, and wants a role that will keep growing.
What You’ll Bring
Required
- Two or more years of experience in event marketing, trade shows, field marketing, or social media content creation, ideally a combination.
- A portfolio showing social content you created: video, graphics, and written posts.
- Working skill with video editing and design tools such as Canva, CapCut, Adobe Premiere, Photoshop, or similar.
- Strong spelling, grammar, and writing skills.
- Confident, professional in-person communication with homeowners and event organizers.
- Availability for a schedule of 2–3 events per week, including regular evenings and some weekends.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for traveling to shows across the Phoenix area.
- Ability to transport, set up, and break down booth materials, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and to stand and engage attendees for full show days.
Nice to Have
- Experience with ServiceTitan or another CRM.
- Experience in home services, home improvement, HVAC, or a similar trade-adjacent industry.
- Experience with Meta Business Suite and social media scheduling tools.
- Experience posting for a business on Nextdoor or participating authentically in Reddit communities.
- Photography skills and comfort filming on job sites.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
Build Skills Beyond Events
This role can open doors beyond event coordination. Strong team members may have opportunities to grow into broader marketing responsibilities, including campaign strategy, partnership and community marketing, content strategy, marketing analytics, and team leadership as KOTA’s marketing department grows.
A marketing career shouldn’t stop at checking boxes. If you’re capable, coachable, and hungry to grow, KOTA offers a path to become more skilled, more valuable, and more versatile over time.
Benefits & Support
Benefits may include
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance.
- Paid time off, paid holidays, and sick pay.
- 401(k) retirement plan.
- Company-provided tools, software, and equipment needed for the role, when applicable.
- Ongoing training and career development.
- A clear path to grow with a marketing team that is still being built.
Show Days Can Be Long — That’s Why the Results Matter
You’ll haul booth materials, set up before the doors open, stand and talk with homeowners for hours, and break it all down at the end of the day. Some shows are outdoors in Arizona heat. With 2–3 events a week, many evenings and weekends belong to the show calendar. And between shows, the content calendar doesn’t stop.
But if you’re already putting in the work, the real question is whether that work is building something for you.
At KOTA, a strong Events & Organic Social Media Coordinator has the opportunity to own a real lead-generation channel, build a recognizable brand, and grow with a company that’s creating a new category.
