Philadelphia, PA, USPosted 2 days ago

Job Description

About Dream Then Go

Dream Then Go is a hospitality-focused creative, content, and digital marketing agency specializing in social media strategy, content production, brand storytelling, paid media, and creator-driven marketing.

We partner with leading hotels, resorts, lifestyle brands, and hospitality management companies to build stronger brands, create compelling content, grow digital audiences, and drive measurable commercial results.

Our portfolio spans independent luxury and lifestyle hotels, globally recognized hospitality brands, and multi-property hotel management organizations. We combine creative storytelling with data-driven strategy, transforming how hospitality brands connect with today's travelers.

As we continue to grow, Dream Then Go is also investing in the future of hospitality marketing through proprietary AI-powered content intelligence, social media analytics, and digital commerce technology.

We are building a company where creative excellence, strategic thinking, operational accountability, and innovation work together.

The Opportunity

Dream Then Go is seeking an experienced, highly creative, and strategically minded Director of Social Media & Content Strategy to lead the development, execution, and continuous optimization of social media and content strategies across our growing portfolio of hospitality and lifestyle clients.

This is a senior leadership position for someone who lives and breathes social media, understands what makes content culturally relevant and commercially effective, and knows how to turn a brand's identity into a distinctive digital presence.

The ideal candidate combines the instincts of a creative director, the analytical mindset of a digital strategist, and the leadership capabilities of an experienced agency professional.

You will oversee the strategic and creative direction of social media programs across multiple hotel properties, hospitality brands, and corporate accounts. You will guide internal teams, direct external creative partners, develop compelling creative briefs, and ensure every piece of content serves a clear brand, audience, and business objective.

We are not looking for someone who simply manages social media accounts or approves content calendars.

We are looking for a leader who understands why content works, knows how to make it better, and can inspire teams to consistently produce exceptional work.

Key Responsibilities

1. Social Media Strategy & Creative Leadership

  • Own and lead the overarching social media and content strategies for a portfolio of hotel, resort, hospitality, and lifestyle clients.
  • Develop differentiated, property-specific strategies that reflect each client's positioning, target audiences, market dynamics, competitive landscape, and commercial objectives.
  • Translate brand identities, marketing priorities, and business goals into actionable social media strategies and creative campaigns.
  • Establish clear creative direction, messaging frameworks, content pillars, storytelling themes, and visual standards for individual clients.
  • Develop strategies that balance brand awareness, engagement, audience growth, website traffic, and revenue influence.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen brand positioning through lifestyle storytelling, experiential content, destination marketing, cultural relevance, and emerging social trends.
  • Lead the strategic development of quarterly and annual social media plans, seasonal campaigns, and integrated content initiatives.
  • Ensure that each client maintains a distinctive brand identity rather than relying on generic or repetitive hospitality content.
  • Continuously elevate the quality, originality, and effectiveness of Dream Then Go's creative output.

2. Native Platform Expertise & Social Media Innovation

  • Demonstrate deep, hands-on knowledge of Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging social platforms.
  • Understand platform-specific algorithms, content formats, audience behaviors, distribution mechanics, and creative best practices.
  • Develop platform-native strategies rather than simply repurposing identical content across channels.
  • Understand the nuances of Reels, Stories, carousels, short-form video, long-form video, social search, and community-driven content.
  • Identify emerging trends, cultural moments, platform updates, and new content formats that present opportunities for clients.
  • Guide teams in developing effective hooks, captions, creative concepts, calls to action, and visual storytelling.
  • Understand the relationship between organic social content, paid amplification, creator collaborations, and broader digital marketing initiatives.
  • Establish best practices for publishing cadence, content optimization, audience engagement, and platform growth.
  • Bring fresh, forward-thinking ideas to clients while maintaining brand consistency and relevance.

3. Creative Brief Development & Content Production Direction

  • Lead the development of comprehensive creative briefs for photography, videography, social-first content, and integrated marketing campaigns.
  • Translate client objectives into clear creative concepts, shot lists, content deliverables, visual references, messaging priorities, and production requirements.
  • Work closely with Dream Then Go's internal production division, photographers, videographers, editors, designers, and external creative partners.
  • Provide creative direction before, during, and after content production to ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate with production leadership to plan content shoots that maximize the value and versatility of each production.
  • Ensure photography and video assets are developed with specific distribution channels, audience segments, and marketing objectives in mind.
  • Direct the creation of social-first video, including Reels, TikToks, vertical storytelling, and platform-specific edits.
  • Review and provide constructive feedback on creative assets, including photography selections, video edits, pacing, music, typography, storytelling, and overall brand presentation.
  • Ensure content meets the creative standards of both Dream Then Go and its hospitality clients.
  • Identify gaps in existing content libraries and proactively recommend new production opportunities.

4. Hospitality Brand Strategy & Storytelling

  • Develop a strong understanding of each hotel's unique positioning, guest experience, amenities, competitive advantages, and target traveler segments.
  • Translate physical hotel experiences into compelling digital storytelling that creates aspiration, emotional connection, and consumer demand.
  • Build content strategies around accommodations, culinary experiences, wellness, design, architecture, destination experiences, events, and lifestyle programming.
  • Understand the differences between luxury, lifestyle, independent, boutique, select-service, and branded hotel marketing.
  • Navigate the creative standards and requirements of major hospitality brands, including Marriott, Hilton, Hyatt, and other global hotel organizations.
  • Balance corporate brand guidelines with the need for authentic, property-specific storytelling.
  • Identify opportunities to position hotels within relevant travel, lifestyle, culinary, wellness, and cultural conversations.
  • Partner with hotel marketing teams and property leadership to align social strategies with seasonal demand, promotions, packages, and revenue priorities.
  • Support the development of content that influences traveler consideration, booking intent, and long-term brand loyalty.

5. Team Leadership, Direction & Accountability

  • Provide strategic and creative leadership to Dream Then Go's social media managers, content strategists, community managers, designers, and creative contributors.
  • Establish clear expectations for strategy development, creative quality, execution, deadlines, and performance.
  • Direct internal and external teams to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality work.
  • Lead regular creative reviews, brainstorming sessions, campaign planning meetings, and strategic performance discussions.
  • Mentor team members in creative thinking, platform expertise, brand storytelling, and strategic decision-making.
  • Review and approve content strategies, creative concepts, editorial calendars, and key campaign deliverables.
  • Establish repeatable workflows, creative briefing standards, and quality assurance processes.
  • Work closely with account management and operations leadership to maintain efficient workflows and appropriate resource allocation.
  • Ensure that client deliverables are completed on time, within scope, and in accordance with established creative standards.
  • Foster a culture of creative excellence, collaboration, ownership, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to improve team capabilities, processes, and overall agency performance.

6. Analytics, Performance & Commercial Impact

  • Establish meaningful performance objectives and KPIs for each client's social media program.
  • Evaluate content performance using native platform analytics, social media management tools, and broader marketing data.
  • Monitor engagement rates, reach, impressions, audience growth, video retention, saves, shares, website referral traffic, and conversion-related metrics.
  • Analyze performance to understand which creative approaches, content formats, messaging strategies, and audience segments are delivering results.
  • Translate analytics into actionable creative and strategic recommendations.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly strategy reviews to assess results, identify opportunities, and refine content direction.
  • Collaborate with paid media specialists to identify high-performing organic content suitable for amplification.
  • Connect social media strategies to broader commercial objectives, including brand awareness, consumer demand, direct website traffic, and booking consideration.
  • Communicate performance insights clearly to internal teams and client stakeholders.
  • Move beyond reporting metrics to explain what the data means and what should happen next.

7. Client Strategy & Senior-Level Collaboration

  • Serve as a senior strategic and creative resource for Dream Then Go's client portfolio.
  • Lead or participate in client strategy presentations, creative concept reviews, campaign planning sessions, and quarterly business reviews.
  • Confidently present creative recommendations and explain the strategic rationale behind them.
  • Build trusted relationships with hotel marketing directors, general managers, corporate marketing teams, and brand stakeholders.
  • Provide proactive recommendations that strengthen client programs and demonstrate the value of Dream Then Go's services.
  • Collaborate with account leadership to identify opportunities for expanded services, additional content production, paid media, and creator marketing.
  • Help develop strategic recommendations for new business pitches, proposals, and prospective clients.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism, responsiveness, and strategic thinking in all client interactions.

8. AI, Content Intelligence & Emerging Technology

The Director of Social Media & Content Strategy will play an important role in shaping how these capabilities are applied across our client portfolio.
