Development and Communications Manager

DEVELOPMENT & COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Reports to: Executive Director Classification: Part-time Compensation: $27–$32 per hour Schedule: Approximately 20–32 hours per week, depending on organizational needs and event schedules.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Development & Communications Manager is responsible for carrying out the day-to-day fundraising communications, marketing, donor engagement, and community outreach for Acres of Hope and occasionally the ReNew Store.

The Executive Director establishes organizational priorities and approves key messaging. The Development & Communications Manager independently plans, coordinates, and completes the work required to move those priorities forward. This is a hands-on position for someone who can manage multiple deadlines, write accurately, communicate professionally, and follow projects through to completion without repeated reminders.

The weekly schedule has some flexibility, but this is primarily an onsite position. Occasional evening and weekend events are required. Remote work must be approved in advance.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES

Communications & Marketing

• Develop and maintain a communications calendar for Acres of Hope and the ReNew Store.
• Plan, write, design, schedule and publish social media content.
• Create newsletters, donor communications, direct-mail pieces, website content, event materials and other public-facing communications.
• Gather stories, photographs and program updates from staff, residents, volunteers and community partners.
• Attend designated events to take photographs, gather content and represent Acres of Hope.
• Keep the Acres of Hope website accurate and current.
• Ensure all names, dates, links, locations, event details and organizational information are correct before materials are submitted or published.
• Maintain consistent branding, tone and messaging across all platforms.
