Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Specialist to join our growth and marketing team. You will play a key role in developing and executing social media strategies for our network of pediatric dental and orthodontic practices: engaging parents and families, raising awareness of children's oral health and orthodontic care, and building a warm, trusted online community in each local market. If you are passionate about using social media to help kids and families feel confident and comfortable about their smiles, this role is an exciting opportunity to contribute to our mission. This role reports to beBright's Chief Marketing Officer.
Experience in healthcare marketing or business development is preferred; experience in dental, orthodontic, pediatric or other family-focused consumer healthcare is a plus. The ideal candidate has an outgoing personality, strong interpersonal and creative skills, and is comfortable relying on technology, data analysis and metrics.
Essential Functions
- Content Creation: Develop engaging, family-friendly content for social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.) that showcases our practices' doctors and teams, the kid-friendly office experience, patient smile transformations, and educational content on topics such as first dental visits, cavity prevention, early orthodontic evaluations, braces and clear aligner care.
- Local Practice Support: Create and distribute social media templates and content toolkits for individual practice accounts, and support office teams in posting locally while maintaining brand consistency across the network.
- Influencer & Community Partnerships: Help develop and execute influencer strategies, including identifying and building relationships with local parent and family influencers, schools, youth sports leagues and community organizations to promote our brand and increase engagement.
- Social Strategy Execution: Implement social media plans and content calendars, ensuring consistent and timely posting. Monitor trends and engagement metrics to optimize strategy and grow online presence and new-patient interest.
- Community Engagement & Reputation: Engage with followers and respond to comments, messages and inquiries in a timely, friendly and empathetic manner. Route appointment, billing and clinical questions to the appropriate practice team. Support online review generation and response across Google and social platforms.
- Campaign Management: Coordinate and execute campaigns aligned with key moments for families, including back-to-school, summer break, National Children's Dental Health Month (February), National Orthodontic Health Month (October), Halloween candy safety, "braces off" celebrations, practice openings and community events. Collaborate with marketing and design teams to create visually appealing, impactful materials.
- Patient Stories & Consent: Capture and curate patient testimonials, before-and-after smiles and in-office moments, ensuring signed parent/guardian authorization is obtained before featuring any minor or patient.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track and analyze social media performance by brand and by practice. Provide insights and recommendations to improve future content, campaigns and lead generation.
- Trend Monitoring: Stay current on social media trends, algorithm changes and best practices in pediatric dental and orthodontic marketing and integrate new approaches to maintain a competitive edge.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- 3-5 years of social media or marketing experience; healthcare, dental or family-focused brand experience preferred.
- High level of creativity and visual expertise, with a tone that resonates with both parents and kids/teens.
- Excellent independent judgment and accuracy.
- Organized, detail-oriented and able to multitask and prioritize across multiple practice locations.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to create and nurture new relationships with practice teams, community partners and influencers.
- Ability to seek guidance from dentists, orthodontists and/or the Chief Marketing Officer when necessary, particularly on clinical content.
- Team player willing to perform assigned duties and support colleagues as needed.
- Proficient with social media platforms, scheduling software and Canva; basic photo and short-form video editing skills preferred.
- Willingness to travel locally to practices for content capture.
- Supports the company vision and mission.
- Participates in identifying problems and suggesting solutions.
- Maintains HIPAA compliance and confidentiality for all patient, practice and company information, with particular care for the privacy of minors.
Why Join beBright?
- Be part of a fun, caring and innovative team dedicated to giving kids and teens healthy, confident smiles.
- Competitive salary and benefits package.
- Opportunities for professional growth and development within a rapidly expanding network of pediatric dental and orthodontic practices.
