Handl Health

Growth Marketing Manager

Remote, US$124,000-$140,000Posted today

Job Description

Handl serves three audiences: benefits consultants, employers and carriers. They are connected by health plan design, pricing, activation and ongoing monitoring, but each buys differently and accesses our platform in specific integration and usage pathways. We need a growth marketer to build and run the system that turns attention into pipeline and supports sales in turning that pipeline into booked revenue across all audiences. You will manage the growth engine. You will work side by side with the Product Marketing Manager, who owns positioning, messaging and audience insight. You take that story to market through channels, events, campaigns and experiments and you tell us what is working. This is a doer-first role. You will build and run the work yourself, with fractional design and web development support and an SDR partner on the sales side.

### About Handl Health, Inc.

Workers and their families deserve accessible, affordable and personalized healthcare. But the tools to create that healthcare, the technology needed to design, deploy and manage a truly custom plan, haven’t existed.

Look at it another way: SMB employers are spending over $233 billion annually on healthcare for their employees. Yet most of them offer plans that can’t account for unique demographics, cost drivers or the care needs of their workforce. Those billions of dollars buy healthcare plans that everyone kind of hates.

Series A-funded Hand Health exists to give them all something better. At Handl, we are quickly growing the team to better serve the people who carry the responsibility of making healthcare affordable and accessible for working people and their families. When we create solutions for health plans (carriers and TPAs), brokers and plan sponsors (employers), we’re helping them transform healthcare in this country. Handl’s technology delivers the infrastructure, analytics and insights needed to power the next generation of alternative health plans.

We are a growing, mission-driven team that values thoughtful execution, collaboration and balance. We work hard, support one another and stay focused on our shared goal: making healthcare more affordable and transparent for everyone.

About Handl Health

----------------------

Handl Health is a Series A-funded healthcare technology company bringing price transparency, claims analytics and provider intelligence to health plans, employers and the brokers and consultants who advise them. We are a small, senior team with a small HQ in Los Angeles, working with some of the largest health plans and benefits consultants in the country. We build deliberately: small, flat, and automated wherever automation is the better answer.

Why this role exists

------------------------

What you will own

---------------------

* Demand engine across three audiences. Design and run programs that generate qualified pipeline and booked revenue among benefits consultants, employers and carriers. Identify where each audience's funnel differs, and build the right motion for each: for example, broker-led referral and education, employer-facing activation, and account-based programs for carriers.

* Channel and campaign execution. Lead email, organic (SEO/AEO), LinkedIn, webinars, events, partner and co-marketing programs. Choose the few channels that matter at our stage, and run them well. While we may run paid media testing, this is a lower investment for us currently.

* Full-funnel measurement. Lead attribution, funnel reporting and the marketing dashboard across our CRM and analytics stack. Define the metrics with leadership, keep the data clean and report what is driving pipeline, cost per opportunity and activation, including what is not working.

* Sales alignment. Partner with Sales and internal enablement team members on lead definitions, routing, handoff, follow-up speed and campaign feedback loops. Make outbound and inbound reinforce each other.

* Experimentation. Run a steady cadence of tests with clear hypotheses, document what you learned, and shift resources and effort based on results.

* AI-powered growth operations. Build and maintain the workflows that let a small team operate like a larger one: automated list building and enrichment, content and campaign production, reporting, lead scoring and routing. Measure impact and adjust AI-workflows based on results.

How you work

----------------

You are an independent operator with grit. You pick the highest-leverage work, ship quickly and are not slowed by limited resources. You work in tight partnership with Marketing and Sales peers and agree on priorities together, but you do not wait for permission to run an experiment inside your budget. You use data to make calls and say so plainly when something fails. You keep your workload sustainable and your priorities clear. You are not coming here to learn AI — you are ready to leverage what you’ve built in prior companies at Handl.

What we are looking for

---------------------------

Be ready to share examples where you’ve successfully:

  • Built and run a demand generation or growth program end to end at a startup or scale-up, and can show the pipeline, revenue, or usage results.
  • Built with AI as a growth mechanism. You are AI-native, not just willing to learn. You don’t create 10 page Claude docs and call your job done. Show us the specific workflows, agents, automations, or tools you built for your function, what they replaced and what they delivered. You will be asked to walk us through them.
  • Run growth programs with a limited budget, using fractional resources effectively.
  • Sold to more than one audience or buying committee, and adapted programs to each.
  • Strong command of a modern marketing stack (CRM and marketing automation such as HubSpot or Salesforce, analytics such as GA4 or PostHog, enrichment and outbound tools) and comfort working directly in the data.
  • Written clearly and briefly, and turned analysis into recommendations leadership acted on.
  • Excitement about improving US healthcare, and curiosity to learn a complex value chain and regulatory environment (employer-sponsored plans, brokers and consultants, carriers).

Nice to have

----------------

  • Healthcare, health insurance, benefits, or healthtech marketing experience; familiarity with ERISA, price transparency, or self-funded plans.
  • Experience marketing to brokers, consultants, or other channel partners.
  • Experience with account-based marketing in enterprise or payer markets.
  • Series A to Series B growth experience.

Benefits

------------

The salary ranges from $124,000 - $140,000 , depending on your location, experience, and market conditions. Benefits you'll receive:

Employee Stock Options

Generous health benefits and 401K matching

Flexible paid vacation, parental and medical leave

Wellness & professional development yearly reimbursement

A one time reimbursement to help you set up a home office

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis and must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B) now or in the future.
