Job Description
We’re looking for a highly analytical, performance-driven Digital Marketing Strategist to oversee marketing strategy and performance across a portfolio of client accounts.
This is not a role focused on simply completing marketing tasks or reporting numbers.
We’re looking for someone who can look at the entire marketing ecosystem, understand the story behind the data, identify what is driving—or limiting—growth, and determine what the team should do next.
You’ll work across Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, websites, social media, email/SMS, reporting, and analytics while providing strategic direction to the specialists responsible for executing within each channel.
What You’ll Do
You’ll own the overall digital marketing strategy for assigned clients and ensure marketing efforts are aligned with their business objectives, revenue goals, new client/patient goals, priority services, locations, competitive position, and marketing budgets. Your responsibilities will include:
- Reviewing weekly and monthly client performance across revenue, new client acquisition, ROAS, CPA, lead volume, conversion rates, Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, and website performance.
- Identifying the story behind the numbers rather than simply reporting metrics.
- Diagnosing performance issues and determining their likely root causes.
- Identifying opportunities to improve performance, scale successful campaigns, and increase client growth.
- Developing clear action plans for accounts that are underperforming.
- Providing strategic direction to Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, social media, website, email/SMS, and reporting specialists.
- Ensuring marketing channels work together rather than operating in silos.
- Reviewing marketing budget allocation and recommending where spend should increase, decrease, or be redistributed.
- Identifying new campaigns, offers, audiences, landing pages, services, or strategies that should be tested.
- Monitoring competitors, market changes, seasonality, and changes in client demand.
- Establishing 3–5 clear strategic priorities for each client each month.
- Preparing concise strategic updates and talking points that Account Managers can confidently communicate to clients.
- Following up on strategic initiatives to ensure recommendations are actually implemented and producing results.
What We’re Looking For
The right person is someone who naturally asks:
Why did performance change? What is causing it? What should we do about it? And
How will we know whether the change worked?
You should be comfortable looking beyond surface-level metrics and connecting marketing performance to actual business outcomes.
You’ll Be a Strong Fit If You Have
- Strong experience in digital marketing strategy and performance marketing.
- A solid understanding of Google Ads and Meta Ads performance.
- Working knowledge of SEO, local SEO, landing pages, conversion optimization, websites, email/SMS, and social media.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret marketing and business data.
- Experience working with metrics such as ROAS, CPA, CPL, conversion rate, revenue, lead volume, and customer acquisition.
- The ability to identify trends, diagnose performance problems, and recommend clear solutions.
- Experience managing or providing strategic direction across multiple client accounts.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organization and follow-through.
- The ability to prioritize high-impact work instead of simply completing a list of tasks.
- Confidence challenging existing strategies when the data indicates something needs to change.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role means our clients aren’t just receiving marketing deliverables—they’re seeing a clear strategy behind their marketing. You will be expected to help:
- Improve client ROAS and CPA performance.
- Increase new client/patient acquisition.
- Identify and execute opportunities to scale successful marketing.
- Turn around underperforming accounts.
- Ensure at-risk accounts have documented and actively managed recovery strategies.
- Keep strategic initiatives moving forward and completed on time.
- Ensure every client has clear priorities and ongoing strategic tests.
- Identify genuine growth opportunities based on client needs and performance.
The Kind of Strategist We Want
We’re looking for someone who sees a declining KPI and doesn’t stop at: “Performance was down this month.” Instead, you investigate: What happened? Why did it happen? What have we already tried? What should we change next?
You should be equally comfortable identifying when something isn’t working and recognizing when a campaign is performing well enough that we should scale it. Above all, you should understand that great marketing strategy is about solving the client’s actual business problem—not simply completing marketing tasks.
If you’re analytical, curious, commercially minded, comfortable working across multiple digital marketing channels, and enjoy turning data into clear actions, we’d love to hear from you.
