About Santa Rosa Orthodontics

Santa Rosa Orthodontics is a boutique, privately owned orthodontic practice led by Dr. Ava Vakili, a board-certified orthodontist. We focus on helping patients of all ages grow, breathe, and smile better through personalized, digitally driven orthodontic care.

We’re looking for a creative, organized, and social-media-savvy individual to help grow our online presence, showcase our practice, and connect with our local community through engaging content.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who loves creating Instagram Reels and TikTok videos, understands current social media trends, and can turn everyday moments into engaging content. You’ll help us build a consistent, recognizable online presence that reflects our practice’s personality, educates our audience, and helps more families discover Santa Rosa Orthodontics.

This is a hands-on creative role for someone who can take ideas from concept to filming, editing, and posting.

Responsibilities

Content Creation & Video Editing

• Film and edit engaging Instagram Reels and TikTok videos.
• Develop creative content ideas around orthodontics, smile transformations, braces, clear aligners, airway-focused orthodontics, office life, and team culture.
• Stay current on trending audio, video formats, and social media trends.
• Create relatable, educational, entertaining, and shareable content that fits our brand.
• Help capture behind-the-scenes moments, team introductions, patient-friendly educational content, and community events.

Instagram Management

• Maintain a consistent posting schedule for Instagram Reels, Stories, and feed posts.
• Write engaging captions and select relevant hashtags and locations.
• Keep our Instagram profile active, polished, and aligned with our brand.
• Monitor comments and messages and flag anything requiring a response from the team.
• Help identify opportunities to increase engagement, reach, and local visibility.

Planning & Growth

• Develop a monthly content calendar and propose new content ideas.
• Track basic analytics, including views, reach, engagement, and follower growth.
• Identify which content performs best and use those insights to improve future posts.
• Help showcase our practice's involvement in the Santa Rosa community.

Qualifications

• Experience creating short-form video content for Instagram Reels and/or TikTok.
• Strong video editing skills using tools such as CapCut, Instagram, Canva, or similar platforms.
• Understanding of social media trends, storytelling, and what makes content engaging.
• Creative, proactive, organized, and able to work independently.
• Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable filming in a professional healthcare environment.
• A portfolio or examples of previous social media work is required.

Bonus points for

• Experience managing social media for a small business, healthcare practice, dental office, or local brand.
• Experience growing an Instagram account organically.
• An eye for clean, elevated branding and visually appealing content.
• Familiarity with social media analytics and content strategy.

What We're Looking For

We want someone who brings ideas to the table, takes initiative, and understands that great social media requires both creativity and consistency. You should be comfortable suggesting trends, planning shoots, and turning our ideas into content that feels authentic rather than overly promotional.

You don't need to be an orthodontic expert—we can teach you about our practice. We need you to bring the creative skills and social media expertise.
